This lovely silicone butt plug is fantastic for its designated purpose. The small tapered point is just firm enough to penetrate easily with the aid of some lube, and flares smoothly to a rounded bulb to stay safely and comfortably inside. The flat slightly rectangular base is a reassuring size to keep it from being lost inside, and while it definitely is noticeable if you walk around with the plug in, I didn't find it uncomfortable at all.

When I got this toy, the easy to open clear plastic packaging displayed the plug, so it isn't the most subtle around. Included on the back are some concise instructions on the back detailing how to clean it. I don't personally intend to use the packaging it came in to store it, as it is rather bulky. Upon getting the plug in my hands I was really pleased with how silky smooth the surface was, as well as the firmness. I did notice a slight plasticine odor when I smelled it experimentally, which lingered even after washing it. You won't be bothered by it unless it's right next to your face though.

I don't really feel there is much to say about the design/shape of this butt plug, it isn't innovative or new in either category, but it IS good for what the toy is meant for. I have no complaints at all regarding the design. The size may be a bit intimidating for a novice to anal play, considering the 1.75" diameter and 5.5" length. The soft/giving nature of silicone does allow for some leeway with insertion/play, however. I wouldn't say The Big End is discreet since it very obviously looks like a sex toy, but I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to travel with it. No batteries or other accessories required, other than some lube for use, after all. I also want to make mention of how pretty this toy is, it has a beautiful shimmer to it, and the hue is nice also.

In all I'm quite a fan of this lovely pearlescent butt plug. It's only the second one I've ever had, and I think it was a fantastic way to continue my introduction to anal play. I've rapidly become a lover of silicone, both for how delightfully squishable it is (being able to tighten/clench my body around a toy and have it give slightly is something I'm fond of), and also the lack of a taste if I want to lick it before using it. The length was ever so slightly poky in some positions, and while not uncomfortable, it was definitely noticeable for me. The varying width of the largest part of the plug and the neck where it narrows was a comfortable transition, but marked enough that I didn't feel any worry about the toy popping out during use.

As a silicone fan-girl, allow me to iterate how easily cleaned this material is. You can put it in the top shelf of a dishwasher, use simple soap and warm or hot water, or toy cleaner. It has no taste so it won't ruin the moment by overwhelming your mouth with the flavor of plastic, if you decide to pop it in your mouth, and minimal scent. You can use any type of lube you like with it, except for silicone-based and storage is easy. I tend to keep my toys in a bedside table with drawers, and put a clean hand towel underneath/in between the toys. Make sure not to have any other silicone toys touching this one, as they won't play nice with each other.

I was a wee bit apprehensive about trying this plug out at first, since it's decently bigger than the other one I have, but I figured with a little warm-up I'd be able to manage it. I had decided to hang out on my bed, while laying on top of a towel in case some lube decided to try and make a mess, and started toying. I must say I have never before had a better example of why toys for anal should have a flare, than I did the first time I used The Big End.
