I forgive you for being pink

What a steal! This toy out-performs its competitors in almost every area: vibration power, comfort, noise level... I would-no, WILL-suggest it to anyone wanting a vibrating butt plug.
Published:
Pros
Quiet, comfortable, cheap, stays put, easy pull-tab removal
Cons
Fairly short cord, tacky battery compartment, yucky pink color

extremely useful review
First things first: this thing is unabashedly pink. No, not hot pink or magenta - I'm talking cutesy, baby shower pink. Pink is last on my list of preferred sex toy colors, as I've always had an aversion to pink in general, but also because it seems to exclaim, "you, as a woman, have permission to use me (while still adhering to a cultural stereotype of femininity)!" You can thank my gender studies classes for that.

But I digress, because the color of this toy barely matters. Functionality usually reigns supreme anyway, and I can assure you, this butt plug carries out its functions wonderfully. So wonderfully, in fact, that I can completely overlook its pinkness.

Physically, this toy is a bullet covered in - I think - TPR silicone. All of this is just far more confusing than it should be: the package states "High Grade Silicone" (don't they all?), yet the back of the package advises me to use a "rubber compatible lubricant" with this toy. So I guess it could be rubber? The toy definitely doesn't have a suspicious smell; that is all I know.

This toy's battery pack is the same as the kind that come with many other California Exotic products. It's definitely one of the poorest quality battery packs I've come across, but it doesn't have any major pitfalls either. The shape is decent and the low-to-high vibration wheels (one on each side) are useful. The cord is 28 inches long - a decent length for a vaginal toy; somewhat short for a vibrating anal toy|Vibrating anal plug by California Exotic - but sufficient for my purposes.

It is a bit of a challenge to get a good grip on the base of this toy to insert it, since the base is floppy, but that's a small negative detail in the overall experience of using this plug. Once inserted, it does not even think about budging, and the base fits perfectly between my cheeks. It's nearly imperceptible. (There are some bumps on the base, but they didn't seem to provide any extra stimulation.)

As I anticipated, the addition of vibration to butt play makes it much more pleasurable for me. There aren't set vibration levels, although I would say there are about five. I was pleasantly surprised when the vibrations varied quite a bit from low to high, yet did not produce much noise at all! When the plug was in my ass, of course, there was even less noise.

Since the toy is essentially a bullet, it is quite rigid. This could be a positive or negative thing, depending on your desires. I found that I appreciated the firmness of the plug; it really made its presence known, despite being quite small. Although my other butt plug is longer than this one, this one provided more stimulation, via vibration and firmness.

When I was ready to remove the plug, I placed my thumb in the thumb groove on the base and easily pulled it out. I like to think of the base as a pull tab. It's like opening a can of pop or something. Only it's nothing like that. It's way better.
Experience
One last thing: this toy came with the most hilarious instructional booklet I've ever seen. It s a thin 2-inch square piece of paper with four diagrams labeled 1, 2, 3, and 4. No words whatsoever. The diagrams pertain to how to insert batteries, but the method is so simple that I had to laugh. I do have to give California Exotic points for including a relevant booklet at all, since I've had several toys come with instructions that were obviously written for other toys. Nonetheless, this one was the cream of the crop of to-the-point instructions.

TPR=thermoplastic rubber. All TPR silicone has some rubber in it, and some silicone. Sadly, they can say high-grade silicone on packages; but they can't say medical grade silicone unless it's pure silicone.
Nice review! I agree, they should make it in some other color(s).

This one has just been sitting in my wish list for so long just because of that feminine pink color. Not that I'm not feminine but...do women really "need" a color that screams female? I love your first paragraph! It's so true! I will probably end up getting this one because of your great review but, I would appreciate another color choice. I don't "hate" pink because it does have it's uses such as sisafying a man! =P

C'mon everyone, I personally LOVE the pink color. Not really, but I figure I'm not going to spend much time looking at it any way. I suppose that the controller doesn't disappear while in use, so it could use some different color options. Sounds like a pretty good anal vibrator. TPR silicone really limits lube choices to water based only. Thanks for the great review.

Ah, thermoplastic rubber, okay. I should've known that. Yeah, I'm keen to their language tricks, but it bothers me because I know other people might see that and think it's 100% silicone.

Oggins, thanks a lot, and I look forward to your review if you get it!

Great review! I too do not like this shade of pink. I like hot pinks, not just the baby pinks. Not that it matters a lot. Anyways. Thanks for the clarification of materials! :)

Ha, the color makes me think of baby toys. My kids have several little toys that are this exact shade of pink. Color aside, it does look like a good toy, and inexpensive to boot. The price was actually my first clue that it wasn't pure silicone, and thanks for pointing out that it's not 100% silicone as it is easy to get confused over the material differences. Great review, and a fun read :)

Thanks for recommending this product. I have it in my wish list!

I have to agree with you on the color. I usually steer clear of pink, hot pink is okay I guess. But this thing is Pepto-Bismol Pink! Hilarious!

Just another vote against pastel-colored sex toys for women. Hey, girls at CA Exotics, we're sticking these things up our butts. We're not shy, nor do we giggle. Your products are supposed to be by women, for women. What's with the color compromise?

Great review, and entertaining writing. I might buy it just based on your sense of humor.

"It's like opening a can of pop or something." I like that a lot.

Solid and entertaining review! If the boy could get past the pink I might get it.
