Hey Woody! Where's Buzz?
I much prefer dildos for penetrative play to vibrators, so this toy is good in that regard. Its light weight made me feel like I was missing something. It's much lighter than glass and steel, but even lighter than silicone. I'm giving this 3 stars because of the weight and because it was a little underwhelming all around. Others might find the light weight and smaller girth to be quite lovely though.

Pros
Deep curve, nice bubbles, eco-friendly, great pouch.
Cons
Very lightweight. Smell may not appeal to all.
The #317 by Hardwood Dildos is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. This dildo is designed for either G-spot or P-spot stimulation. This is a nice toy for anyone who's looking for an eco-friendly, lightweight, textured and curved toy. This arrived in a nice, velvet bag that is double-lined with velvet to prevent any damage to your toy. The pouch ties with a white or cream-colored ribbon and it stays closed very well. The packaging was minimal and keeps in its eco-friendly theme.
This dildo is made of a hardwood. The information that came with my dildo didn't specify the type of wood that was used; however, the other review on the product says it's mahogany. Seeing as that review is a couple of years old, the manufacturer could have changed materials, so I'm not promising that it's still mahogany.
This is a smooth toy; and other than the bubbles, it has no texture at all. It's been finished with several coats of a food-grade varnish that makes it body-safe. Since it's nice and coated, it's very slick. You'll want to exercise extreme caution if you're using this anally and make sure you have a nice grip, or make sure a partner is gripping this toy. I would think the size of the toy would make it difficult for it to be completely suctioned in; but better safe than sorry, no?
This has no taste, but it does have a smell. It smells like a woodworking shop. If the smell of wood makes you aroused, then hey, you'll love this. Personally, it reminds me of my grandfather's woodworking shop; and, well, that's not exactly what I want to be thinking about while I'm playing with myself so I don't spend too much time sniffing my dildo.
This dildo has a nice deep curve for G or P-spot stimulation. Measured along the curve, it is about 8 inches; which is a nice length. I did find the girth of the toy to be a little underwhelming. I don't know if I'd consider myself a size-queen, but I really wanted a little more girth from this toy. The other underwhelming feature I found with this toy is that it is very light. My first dildos were made of glass and I really find that I enjoy the heavier materials like glass and steel much more than the lightweight nature of wood. I don't know how these dildos stack up against some of the other manufacturers weight-wise though, so it could just be a feature of this manufacturer.
I have this in the brown, which is not a dark color by any means, but it's not as blonde or honey-colored as the beige, in my opinion. The grain of the wood is absolutely beautiful. If you appreciate that sort of thing, you'll really like the look of this toy.
This toy can be bleached to sterilize it if couples are using it for both G and P-spot stimulation. Proper bleaching would be using a 10% bleach solution sprayed on and left for approximately 30 seconds and then thoroughly cleaning and rinsing the bleach off the toy after. I would not recommend putting this in your dishwasher or boiling it as prolonged water exposure could damage the finish of your toy and warp it. For those of you who only plan on having one purpose for these toys, I would say that toy cleaner or antibacterial soap and warm water will suffice your cleaning needs. Especially since it’s so nicely coated, there are no little crevices for bacteria to hide.

Experience
Since joining Eden Fantasys, I've been staring at the wood dildos with mixed feelings: intrigue and skepticism. Finally, after seven months, I decided to go for it. Now I have two! I ordered the #261 (review TBD) and requested the #317 for review. So here we are and my feelings are still mixed. I really love the curve and the bubbles of this dildo, but I'm not a fan of the weight. I did manage to stimulate my G-spot enough for a decent orgasm, but I didn't walk away looking at trees with new-found lust. I don't know if other manufacturers would have a better weight to their dildos, but for now, I'm on the fence about whether I'll give them another chance.
