Great vibration, but not a beginner's toy!
This toy is way too big for us beginners, but I think someone experienced in anal play would enjoy this toy. The vibration settings are very strong and a great addition to an anal toy. The toy does contain rubber, which is a very porous, hard to clean material. The silky plastic of the toy is very nice and very smooth to the touch. The base can be a bit bulky and may be uncomfortable for some, but the flexible shaft of the Flexi Risque Probe is a nice addition.

The Flexi Risque Probe by Cal Exotics is made of smooth, silky plastic with a flexible, rubber neck. The base is also made of smooth plastic and is 5" in circumference. The toy itself is 4 3/4" long, with 3 3/4" insertable. A button at the bottom of the base turns on the vibration patterns, which can be turned off in an emergency by holding the button down for three seconds. There are ten different vibration speeds and patterns, and all ten are pretty strong. I really enjoyed the vibration of this toy and found it to be one of my favorite things about it! The vibration is rather loud, but definitely a bit quieter when inserted. The rubber shaft of the toy is very flexible, which is also nice.
The size of the Flexi Risque Probe was a bit problematic for my partner and I. The head the probe starts off slender, but tapers into a larger bulb, which then drops back off to meet up with the rubber neck of the probe. As someone who isn't that experienced in anal play, I found the bulge at the end of toy to be too much. Also, once you've gotten the toy in completely, the base tends to be a little bulky, and getting the toy back out was incredibly painful because of the girth of the Flexi Risque's bulb coming back out. The bulb has a 1 3/8" circumference, which did not work for us, but may be just fine for some!
The base of this toy may also be too bulky for some, but I actually found it to be nice. I could hold it in my hand and still use my fingers to press the button and change the vibration settings. I did occasionally hit the vibration button without meaning to and had to cycle back through to find the one I wanted. To turn off the toy, you must hold down the button for three seconds. Cycling through won't offer an 'off' setting, and holding down the button is the only way to do it.
Because the Flexi Risque Probe is made of plastic and rubber, with a battery pack in the base, it should be cleaned using mild soap and water or toy cleaner. It cannot be sterilized with boiling water the way some toys can, and you should always use a condom with this toy when sharing! Rubber is on the very low end of the 'material safety' scale, and cleaning this toy is very important. To extend the life of a rubber toy, one should consider using a condom over it every time, as rubber is very porous and may deteriorate over time. Also, there are a few grooves where the rubber shaft meets the plastic bulb and base, which should be carefully cleaned. I don't foresee it being a problem, but paying a little extra attention wouldn't hurt. You can use silicone or water-based lube with this toy.
The Flexi Risque Probe takes 3 AAA batteries, which are inserted in the twist-off base. The toy is waterproof, but be sure you get the base twisted back on correctly so water won't get into the battery pack! We had a bit of a hard time at first twisting the base back into place.

Although I can see that this would be a great toy for some more experienced with anal play, in the end, it was just a little too big for me. I would still recommend it for intermediate and advanced users, but not for beginners.

great review!

Is the vibrator part of this in the bulb or base? And where do you put the batteries in? Nice review, thanks for talking about the construction of the plug.

I show you how to put the batteries in in the video, to make it easier and let you know in the review that they go into the base. Though the batteries are in the base, the entire thing vibrates. It really is a vibrating probe-- the whole thing! Its pretty great.
