As a man who has moved on from the "beginner" stage of anal play, but still has relatively little experience, I found The P-plug to be a fantastically well-rounded toy. I saw this and immediately wanted it in me, so I knew I would at least be trying it. I'm certainly glad I did.

The P-plug is a prostate massager in the guise of a plug. The base is so wide and rounded that, at least for me, it gets continually pushed out on its own. Although that could be a factor of my weight. However, don't let that discourage you from trying this product. What it lacks in "staying power", it more than makes up for as a prostate massager. Even if this toy wasn't enough to bring me to orgasm on its own, it was still extremely pleasurable to use.

The "plug" is made of platinum cure silicone, so silicone-based lubes are NOT safe to use with it, but the material itself is non-porous so any water-based lube will do. Additionally, very little lube is needed in comparison to materials like jelly or rubber. It is very soft, and while being flexible it doesn't squeeze easily. This means that in use it can form to the shape of your body and position, but it still maintains its shape and pressure on the P-spot. Having some flexibility, in this way, makes it much more comfortable to use than some more stiff ones. Especially for a beginner.

Since it is silicone, it can be boiled for 10 minutes, put in a dishwasher, or bleached with a 1:10 bleach:water mixture. Being silicone also has the perk of being scentless and tasteless; this I can verify personally.

Thankfully, it has no seam I could find. The only molding mark on the insertable end was a tiny fill port, which I could not even feel at all. The entire toy has a perfectly smooth feel that doesn't drag on lubed skin. It even comes out looking spotless.

The shape of the plug pushes the slightly bulbous head into the prostate, while the ridges stimulate the perineum. The rounded side also pushes against the tailbone-area of the colon, applying more pressure to the prostate area. As it doesn't work well as a plug, since it doesn't stay in place well, these varying shapes and textures provide an amazing sensory experience that helps to relax the anal sphincter and intestinal walls. It also stimulates blood flow to the prostate and whole anal region, making it ideal as a warm-up toy, but its size and gentle curve lack the punch that it takes to send this reviewer over the top.

Now for the fun part! I was already tingling in anticipation to use this one. With a little lube on one finger, I started relaxing my sphincter and lubing up to work this little guy in. Just a little bit of massage with the tip and the bulge was able to slip in quite easily. The smooth silicone felt amazingly slick against my walls. It slid around with no trouble at all, unlike some cheaper toy materials like jelly or PVC. Slowly I was able to start dipping it in and out, relaxing my first sphincter. Once I was nice and ready, I started to venture deeper. I felt a wave of pleasure wash over me as the girth stretched me out farther and the first ripple began rubbing my perineum. I found it helpful here to take a moment to allow my body to adjust slowly, by just holding it gently in place, without thrusting. As it got completely comfortable (only a few minutes) I slid it in all the way to the base and immediately felt a surge of pressure on my prostate. Leaving it in I began teasing my chest and finding it sent pulses of low, gentle electricity across my nipples and prostate. I was in heaven. I eventually started thrusting, but all it achieved was adding a pulse to the same low, relaxing pleasure. I found it was extremely useful for warming up and helpful for making my anal feel pleasurable, but it lacked the punch it needed to send me over the edge.

For anybody interested at all in anal or prostate stimulation, I highly recommend this product as an introduction to healthy male anal sex, regardless of sexual preference. My review is only 4/5 stars because it lacked the endgame I was looking for. It is also a great toy for someone who is already into anal, but wants to explore a bit more, and needs something to help loosen you up to begin a prostate milking session and make it more pleasurable.
