The Flexi power rod's design is relatively unique; not many anal probes vibrate and most of the beaded ones do not. The tip is very blunted with a modest size making insertion a breeze. The beads (3) subtly increase in size, and are well shaped for smooth penetration. The Flexi power-rod's texture is smooth and soft (typical of TPR toys.)

This Anal probe is made of TPR, not pure silicone, and is latex and phthlates free. It will have to be designated for single person anal play because of sanitary reasons. It has been mentioned on other reviews because it's porous it may absorb smell. If you're a "frequent anal flier" you may want to find a probe that is pure silicone. It is a relative inexpensive toy, and as such the quality leads one to assume it won't last forever, so odor absorption may not be an issue. I have not had any issues with my limited use so far.

The selection of lubricant will also have to factor in when using this toy, because of the TPR water based lubes will have to be used as to not degrade or soften the materiel. The controls are intuitive; however inconveniently placed on the base, where most would expect to grip the toy. The power provided in this 3 AA battery toy is more than sufficient to get the job done, I found I didn't need the highest setting. Its programmed settings follow the constant modes, and vary from pulsing to surging. One button scrolls through the various functions while the other shuts it off.

The Flexi power rod's construction seems a bit suspect. The base is made of hard plastic that would not make it through too many drops on to a hard surface. And the flimsy nature of the TPR portion makes it a little dicey on first insertion.

This was a fun toy for not a lot of money. If you're an anal beginner, you will find the size and shape to be forgiving. It has good vibrations, and the variable functions will provide some diversity in the action. It was very comfortable, and it can be used solo or you could have someone use it on you. It would have been easier to insert it if it had some kind of rigidity in the TPR portion.

This is a good toy for beginners; however, the control portion/handle shouldn't be submerged, and because of that, it's difficult to clean. The groove just under the first bead is also a spot that requires extra cleaning attention. Lastly its bead portion is also very floppy, making insertion sometimes tedious. If I were to design this I would also make the beads a bit larger. It's still a nice toy, and for the price a good buy, just not for me.
