Pros
Easy to use during solo play, stores easily.
Cons
Requires extra cleaning for the nozzle, could easily be missed.
We purchased this to help make prepping for anal play simpler, quicker and cleaner and it met all of our expectations. Simply filling the bulb with warm water and having your lube close at hand and you are ready to go. I found the flare at the base of the nozzle can be used to assist in holding the douche when using by oneself. By making peace sign I could rest the douche in between my fingers. I could then line it up for insertion and press against the flange to insert. Once it was fully inserted I would press the bulb against my thigh and shift my hand so I could shift it to the bulb so I could squeeze it. It took a few uses to figure out the best method for me. It could also be used as a gag gift for someone who you think is full of s*!t.
The douche highlights the variations of silicone. The bulb end is soft and flexible which it needs to be in order to squeeze the water out. The nozzle is firm and will bend some but according to the manufacturer it is made out of the same 100% Hypo-allergenic, latex-free, non-porous, phthalates-free silicone. The bulb end holds about 8oz. of liquid and the texture of the nozzle end along with the flared base make it possible to use it as a safe introductory anal toy.
The Eden Silicone Douche really worked well for us when preparing for anal play both at home and during a recent vacation. At home it is readily accessible for the spur of the moment, "hey I feel liking pegging your ass" to we are going on a cruise and there is not a lot of room to pack things so choose the toys wisely. The 8 oz. bulb holds enough liquid to provide a rinse that is not uncomfortable to hold inside however several rinses my be necessary to be completely clear before engaging in anal play.
I have been quite pleased with the performance of this douche. The amount of fluid it holds is comfortable for a beginner and provides for an effective rinse. If the bulb was bigger additional rinses may not be required however it would make storing more of a challenge.
Being 100% silicone, cleaning is pretty straight forward; toy cleaners, hot water and anti-bacterial soap or there is always the boiling water with a touch of bleach. The nozzle end where the water comes out from has four small holes in it. They can be a little challenging to clean so a little bit of extra attention to those areas when cleaning with either a soft bristle brush or pipe cleaner will work well. Whatever method one chooses to clean with I would recommend that you wait until it is completely dry before screwing it back together. The plastic packaging can be used to store the kit but it does not fit will unless you have the two parts screwed together. Water based lubes work well with this silicone product. When it is all put together and the bulb end is squeezed it does not take up much room so it is relatively easy to store.
The package could be used as a storage box or drying rack after cleaning if you are careful when you opening the package, just remember to ensure it is completely drying before sealing the package.
I would recommend a couple of things when using the douche. First when squeezing the bulb gentle even pressure is all you need, there is no need to squeeze hard and fast. Also when the bulb is completely squeezed do not let go of the bulb end until after the nozzle is removed, this will reduce the chance of sucking something into the douche. And lastly I would recommend using this either in a tub or over a toilet in case there is some leakage during use.
For our use we found generally it would take three rinses to have clear water come out. Everyone's body is different, just didn't want people to think the product is defective if they only use it once and they are not all clear.
