Floppy beads
These are fun to play with but consider the limpness of these before you decide to get these instead of the jelly ones. They feel wonderful inside and being put in or pulled out, but they can be aggravating to get started.

Pros
Good for beginners or advanced, wonderful shape
Cons
Limp
I got these TPR silicone beads as a hopeful replacement for my jelly beads. They are the same exact size as my other X-10 jelly beads (10 inches insertable, graduated beads going from 1 inch to 3 inches in circumference), the only difference is in the material. They have a total of 10 beads with a loop on the end to prevent everything from going up inside, although with the flexibility of this material, I would not trust it unless you have someone holding onto the other end. I would leave the last bead out as a safety measure. It does not take much pressure at all to collapse the ring and when it collapses, it is flat, so I would imagine it could be sucked up inside. I would not want to risk that.
They are made of a TPR silicone, which has a safety rating of 6, whereas the jelly only has a safety rating of 2. So you can see why I wanted to upgrade. TPR is a silicone based rubber material and can be washed with warm water and antibacterial soap and used with water based lube. The color is cute. I got the purple and they are a nice bright color, and until I opened the package, I really loved them.
They are limp, not a little limp, but really, really limp. This makes them harder to insert at the start, which can be mildly annoying. I have posted pictures of both the jelly beads I have and the TPR beads to show the difference in the stiffness of the material. The purple beads are the TPR silicone and the black ones are jelly. The difference between the two can be felt inside as well, but that is not a negative thing, they are more flexible and comfortable to move around with.
All in all I would deal with the aggravation of the limp beads in trade for the much higher safety rating of the material. They feel wonderful. With the narrow section between each bead there is a wonderful popping sensation when they are pulled out and it allows for a nice sensation when they are being put in as well. It is a little hard to describe, but it is fun!

Follow-up commentary

While they are still holding up well, I just do not enjoy them as much as my jelly ones I have. These are just too floppy and dificult to insert, and they do not provide as much stimulation after inserted. Also, I still find myself worrying about them "going up" since the retrieval ring is so floppy and weak.

Interesting that these are limper than the jelly ones. That's a good comparison. Thanks for the great review.
