Decent starter kit, awful material

All in all, I think this is a great starter kit because of the sizes and it included a vibrator. However, it gets dragged down because of the smell, separate outer shells and cores, and more rubber. I would suggest shopping around more, but if you get this at a discount, then that might outweigh the cons here.

These were the first legit toys I used for anal play. My wife (then girlfriend) had gotten the kit from one of those "girls only" sex toy parties to try out. She barely touched them. I, however, had decided to give them a shot after years of finger play and impromptu insertables.

Packaging was cheap. Cardboard and that super thin white plastic. The kind that makes too much damn noise. An issue when I was still keeping this toy play under wraps. Thanks, Doc Johnson, for the added stress of attempting to silently pull butt plugs and vibrators when there is a sleeping girlfriend nearby. I think the silent packaging should be a priority. It would save us all.

Packaging aside, I'll start with the negative aspects of this kit. First thing was the smell. Guh! Terrible. It had this rubbery scent with an attempt at masking it with pleasant scents. It was like they had cast the rubber and then dunked it in a vat of perfume. Not a pleasant effect. The smell added to the dilemma with the crinkling package.

Once you get past the scent, you face the problem of the material. Thankfully, it's not sticky to the touch, but it's definitely rubbery. It had this sparkly pink color. This is not a fault of the product, but that color did not help my mental state of a hetero male exploring anal. While I never did it because I was naive at that age, I'd suggest using a condom with these to avoid bacteria issues because of the porous rubber material.

On the bottoms of the plugs in the center, there is an un-dyed rubber, a tan color where the core of the plugs was slipped inside. That was the other big issue. They were not of a solid material. One type of rubber as a core was surrounded by the pink rubber. This might not be so bad, except after a bit of use the two rubbers began separating on the inside. It would make the pink rubber move around a bit, which seemed super cheap. The largest plug was the worst culprit for that. It also came with an anal cream/lube in a small, sample sized tube. I rarely used this and wasn't a big fan, it felt too thick in viscosity. I used a water-based lube, and it worked just fine, though silicone lube will work with these just fine.

I realize that it is a lot of negative, but for all that being said - I did enjoy this kit. I felt like the three sizes were decent enough with their increasing sizes and the fact that this kit also comes with a full vibrator (with flared base for anal play) was great for a curious beginner. I see a lot of kits that are plugs only, and I think that the different type of toy added in there gives this kit a boost. The power in the vibe was decent. It could have been stronger or more rumbly, but I suppose for a starter kit you don't want anything too powerful. I got a fair bit of use out of these before they started to break down.
