Bum Beads: No Euphoria from Ophoria!
Now I wish I had saved my string of cheap round jelly booty beads, because even though Ophoria is made from the safest toy material out there, in no way was is as pleasurable to use or as easy to insert as the ones that cost half as much.

Pros
Silicone, easy to clean and sterilize, small.
Cons
Too small, hard to insert.
If you are new to anal fun and want to try your first set of anal beads, the Ophoria-a-Chain might be an option for you. It's a traditional chain with graduated beads, but it's a bit on the petite size compared to other ones on the market. Rather than having round beads, its oval-shaped beads allow for a more gentle and natural feeling upon insertion and removal.
Anal beads can be very pleasurable to use because the spincter has many nerve endings that allow for sensations of arousal both during insertion and removal, and larger beads may create feelings of pressure while inside the rectum. They can also be left during vaginal intercourse to provide some texture against a penis during thrusting.
MATERIAL
Silicone toys are a plus, period, and for anal beads, they are ideal since the material is non-porous; however, for my taste, there's a bit too much drag and flop to these beads compared to slick, shiny, jelly beads that have firmer joints/intervals between the beads and are much easier to pop in and out. It's just too flexible for me, but at the same time, that can be good too, since there's really no way this toy could do any internal damage. Otherwise the surface of the chain is smooth, and there's no smell or taste.
SIZE AND DESIGN
Overall, Ophoria is about 10 inches long including the safety loop, with approximately 7.25 inches of insertable length. It consists 6 graduated oval beads, the smallest being just shy of 0.5 inches long and a bit larger than a pea but smaller than a lima bean. The largest bead is about 1.5 inches long with a diameter of just under an inch and I'd probably compare its size to a shelled pecan. A wearer could easily leave these in and move around freely, without experiencing any discomfort. Just don't forget it's there!
The name of the toy "OPHORIA" is etched on to the largest bead on one side and its slightly raised.
PERFORMANCE
The beads of Ophelia are joined flexibly, which means that you will pretty much have to tuck them in one by one, as opposed to a jelly or rubber strand that has semi-rigid joints that, once you get the first or two in, you can slide the remaining right up in there. Yes, oval beads have a more "natural" torpedo shape to them, which you'd think would slide in very easily, but not when they are as small as the first few on this chain.
CARE
Ophelia is small and discreet, so you can roll it and store it in a plastic sandwich bag if you like. Only a water-based lubricant should be used and it can be cleaned under warm-water with antibacterial soap or dipped in boiling water for a few minutes to sterilize it.

Experience
I owned one other set of silicone beads that was way too long and had balls that not only were grooved (very hard to clean) but also were just too big. When I saw Ophoria I thought it was a done deal. After using this chain, I felt my bumhole got a bum deal. I was left unimpressed, feeling empty, and missing the jelly beads that I threw away the week before. I guess I'll be shopping for another strand of those.
Follow-up commentary

I think the fact that this is discontinued speaks for itself. I wasn't impressed; it's just too small. Round beads feel so much better popping out of the ass than these tapered ones.

I bought these recently. These are my first anal beads and I must say that they feel amazing! Now my problem is that the silicone somehow retains butt smell. I have tried boiling it for 10 minutes (twice), rubbing it out with alcohol, and even using tea treee oil on the surface yet still nothing! HELP please!
