Vibrating C-shape prostate massager discontinued

Beginners rejoice.

Evolved has made it easy for the anal newbie to start on the road to P-spot exploration. This vibe is easy to use due to the handle and the size is non-intimidating. A variety of vibe patterns and shaped to hit the spot means locating and stimulating the P-spot should be a snap. The button for controlling the vibes is sensitive and it is easy to change the settings when you do not want to. Advanced users may be left wanting stronger vibes and a larger size.

extremely useful review
For the anal newbie or those that like small G/P-spot toys, the Get a Grip (or Love Handle if you like purple) vibrator from Evolved Novelties is a good choice. This vibe is made for easy use, due to the handle, and the size is perfect for those just starting out. While the vibrations are located in the tip for the best stimulation to your G/P spot, they do travel all through the toy so perineum/clitoral stimulation can be achieved. In fact, it almost seams like there is another vibe located where the handle meets the insertable location. Based on the intensity at the tip and the lessened feel of it the father back you feel, I am sure this is not the case but rather it is the plastic's ability to transmit vibrations.

Get a Grip can be used in a few different ways, you can insert and enjoy the vibration, rock it back and forth, use a 'window wiper' motion (my favorite) or use some trusting motions. If dual penetration is your thing, it can be inserted in the anus backwards so the handle is out of the way to allow PIV or the regular way for PIA. It is not designed to stay inserted so you may need an extra hand to keep it in.

Evolved has made this toy out of PU coated plastic, this material is Phthalate free so there is no worries about chemicals leaching into your body. That also means it is easy to clean and it has a smooth glide when lubed. Speaking of lube, you can use water or silicone based lubes. Since Evolved claims it is water proof, silicone lubes will work best for wet play.

There is a freaking &*^%@#@~#%! seam that runs along the top and bottom of the toy on mine which can be felt during use. You can trim this off using a nail file but it could remove some of the PU coating. Not that that would make any difference mind you, I just get so pissed when a toy has the dreaded seam!

Size wise this toy is perfect for the anal newbie, most will be able to take this toy with little discomfort. Just make sure to use a good lube. Dimensions are as follows-

You can see that the tip is angled to better target the P/G-spot; there is also a nice bulge towards the handle. I found that the extra bulge was nice to give a bit of an extra stretch (very little) to the anus, coupled with the vibes; it was nicely stimulating to the area when inserted all the way. Furthermore, the handle also gives the perineum a good bit of stimulation as well.

The handle has indention's for a better grip when using it on you, I typically have my hand under my leg to use anal toys (when lying on my back) and the handle worked great for this type of grip. It also works well when reaching between the legs. The push on/off/change vibes button is placed at the top of the handle; this is a good location as it is easily accessible for you or your partner. I just wish it wasn't so easy to push, more than once during use I grazed my finger across it and the vibration changed. Since you have to cycle through all the settings o get back to where you were, this was a pain. At least there are only seven settings to go through.

You get seven vibration settings to chose from, two steady settings and five pulse/roller coaster type settings. I found them to be buzzy and light, once again, perfect for the beginner. I am a bit surprised how buzzy they are considering two AAA batteries power it. I figured they would be a bit stronger. One thing that could be improved upon is to have a thicker layer of PU on the handle. I found that the vibes tend to make my fingers numb when holding. The noise is minimal and you will not hear it through a closed door.

To insert the batteries, you simply pop off the cap to access the battery compartment. Since the toy does not come with any instructions you have to look for the "+" and "-" signs on the toy. They are very small so you have to look close to see them. Here, see for yourself-

Pretty small markings, eh?
Experience
For cleaning, you can just use some soap and water or your favorite toy cleaner. You cannot properly sanitize PU so use a condom if you plan on sharing or going from anus to vagina. Use of water or silicone based lubes is fine, just stay away from oil based lubes as they may degrade the material.

You can store your toy in the provided plastic container that it comes in (See product page) or just toss it in your toy box. It may attract a bit of dust or lint but a quick wipe with a damp cloth will clean it up fast. Just make sure to keep it away from dissimilar materials, they do not always play nice together.

Sadly, I did not find the waterproof claim to be true. In fact, mine was not even splash proof. After washing it the first time (simply rinsing off the toy cleaner), I found that water had got into the battery compartment. There is an O-ring but the cap just snaps on so there is no way of getting a good tight seal. I guess you could get a bigger O-ring but I do not think the cap would fit on then. Other reviewers of the Get a Grip and Love handle say that theirs are waterproof, so I am not sure if mine is just defective or what. Based on the design though, after you take the cap on and off a few times, the plastic will start to fatigue thus increasing the chance of leakage. Best to keep the water play to a minimum, or wrap a piece of black tape around the seam to help keep the water out. I defiantly do not recommend submerging the toy.

For me, the Get a Grip was not the greatest. In fact, I thought of titling my review "L is for loser". The vibes did noting for me and the shape was just "OK". However, when you consider who the targeted user will be, this toy gets some high marks. Beginners will enjoy the light, buzzy vibes and the small size is a big plus as well. The handle is great for controlling the toy and is helpful for the different types of movements you can use. Therefore, instead of giving it low marks because I did not care for it, I instead looked at it from a newbie standpoint. I would have loved to have this toy when I was first starting out with anal play. I am only taking away one star for the seam.

So if you are looking to get into anal/P-spot play, this toy may be for you. More advanced users may find the Get A grip lacking in the vibe and size department.
