"Batteries Not Included" Nor Are Many of the Other Advertised Abilities of This Toy
This toy is obviously cheaply made, and doesn't adequately do any of the things it boasts. It was a total disappointment.

Pros
Challenges you to get creative in figuring out something that it's good for.
Cons
Loud, hard to adjust, poorly constructed.
This toy has the look, smell and feel of a cheap sex toy, complete with the scantily clad porn star model on the box. It didn't even come with its own batteries!
I have to say, I was very disappointed. In theory this the Pleasure set probe showed so much promise, and I was really excited to give it a shot. Unfortunately, it didn't manage to live up to its potential. The plastic is very hard, and the seams between pieces of plastic are considerably sharper than they should be on any sex toy. This makes it both difficult to clean, and depending on your sensitivity, uncomfortable.
Once you have wrapped the Pleasure Set Probe in a condom (as this seems to be the only way to ensure its cleanliness, and smooth the edge issue) it fairs a bit better, but still barely meets the expectations listed. The condom unfortunately cuts down on the entertainment value of the toys shape, as a typical sized condom is larger than the toy, and it tends to fold up in the creases of the "bulbous round head". Furthermore, only the very end of the probe vibrates and it's very loud. Whether or not this is problematic is again a personal sensitivity issue, but it felt rather weird to me. I am all about the butt sex, and having something vibrating up in me but not throughout the whole toy was not a sensation I'd aim for. It didn't hurt, just felt funny. I was less sensitive to this inserting it vaginally. (Always remember to change condoms between people and orifices!!)
Should you get past the design flaws in the probe, you will likely find the remote to be problematic as well. With clean, dry hands it is hard to move the dial. With lubed sex hands? Forget it. The box boasts an ergonomic design however I didn't find that the hand grips on either side of the remote did anything to improve the toy's function.
Unwilling to write any toy off entirely, I did some experimenting to see if it was useful for anything beyond the intended usage. I find this toy is most effective when used on very specific areas for a short period of time, a magic wand of sorts. With the vibration isolated into the tip of the toy, it makes the rest of the toy easier to hold on to. Using it on the surface (rather than inserting it) of particular lovely areas also eliminates some of the cleaning issues. If you are really into inserting it and can't resist the urge, I found it can be useful to play with your G-spot. This, however, depends on your physiology. It was able to hit my partner's, but we could never get it angled in a way that it was both comfortable and effective for me. Play with it long enough, and you're bound to come up with a variety of uses for it. If nothing else, you can turn it on, and put it on the floor as a cat toy for a very slow, lazy cat.
All in all, I was very disappointed with this toy. I suggest you save your $12 for something with better craftsmanship.

Make sure you have condoms and AA batteries on hand, otherwise this toy is useless.
Follow-up commentary
24 months after original review
I've tried this toy with a couple partners now, and it appears to be fairly exciting for the individual on the receiving end. As the operator, I've found that the safest way to use the toy is to wrap the cord around my finders and anchor it with my hand. This keeps the toy from slipping too far in. Though this can get uncomfortable, don't for a minute think you can leave this toy unsupervised - is slips right in! If you can get over this sizable operation annoyance, it is an easy beginner size and the vibrations can help one relax one's sphincter.

Thank you for viewing Pleasure set probe – vibrating butt plug review page!
Also, that base actually looks smaller than the body of the probe, which in my mind makes it of questionable safety for anal insertion.
