Anchors Aweigh!
The Bootie is a great solid silicone butt plug for under $35. Its design, material, and shape make ass play easy and comfortable, especially for those new to anal stimulation or those that are just looking for a smaller sized toy.

Pros
It's made out of silicone, it's small, and it's comfortable.
Cons
The thick nubby "hooked" tip is uncomfortable to insert.
I'm certainly not a novice when it comes to all things ass, I am however just one of those gals that doesn't like big toys. I'm not crazy about stretching and when it comes to anal play I don't prefer toys that I'm able to thrust. I love butt plugs and for me, the smaller the better. All I need is a little "something" to stimulate all the nerve endings in my anus, I don't require anything special but I do require something nonporous and something that's able to be sterilized. The Bootie found its way into my shopping cart as easy as point, click, and 'check out!' It was an easy purchase and I didn't bat an eyelash.
Silicone is phenomenal and I can't say that enough. It's my second favorite sex toy material, the first being Tantus' unique blend of aeronautical aluminum, Alumina. This particular silicone is soft, squishy, feels like velvet, and is safe, clean, and chemical free. It can also be boiled, bleached with a 10% solution, or thrown in the top rack of a dishwasher (without soap) to clean. Seeing as this solid little silicone toy doesn't have any electronic parts, I can easily sterilize it all three ways. This is a toy that can be shared between partners and for someone like me with a husband that has feverishly decided he loves anal play, it's necessary to be able to fully sanitize all toys that he wants to try too.
The Bootie is shaped like an anchor with both ends curving upward. This perfect shape allows the "arms" to comfortably sit between your ass cheeks giving you the ability to walk around with this in all day. This particular shape also helped to ease my fears of "what if it gets lost", I'm sure people have wondered that before with toys as I know I have; I have several toys that have floppy flared bases that have left me feeling less than confident, but the unique design of these thin, curved "arms" helped the toy to stay put and I never felt it shift out of position once. These particular arms are flexible and thin so they really move with your body (especially when you bend), the plug on the other hand is a different story.
This little plug is rigid, it isn't very pliable at all. I prefer it this way as I don't have to struggle to insert it. I've tried floppy toys before and trying to get them into an insanely tight anus has resulted in nothing but pure frustration. With a liberal amount of water based lubricant, my husband was able to push this inside my ass; while he tried to curve it in as it has a "hooked" tip he got a little impatient and just sort of um, shoved it in. Ouch! It was painful and I do not recommend having an impatient partner put this in for you. When I used the toy by myself, I coaxed my ass to open; I relaxed my body, and very slowly I slid it inside. While small, I still felt full. The end of the toy is bulbous and larger than the shaft so I was able to feel it once it was fully nestled inside. This thick tip made insertion harder than it should have been especially for a toy so small and while it was comfortable once fully inside, trying to put it in wasn't. However, with this bulbous tip, the Bootie stayed put. It never tried to pop out and I could focus solely on pumping my dildo in and out of my vagina. All too often I've had smooth butt plugs that would keep popping out due to their texture or using too much lubricant but the Bootie was an absolute joy and didn't require any adjustments. I had the freedom to fuck myself hard and fast with my dildo without ever having to stop and fix a shifting butt plug.
The most important features are the ones that deserve to be written about twice:
1. It's silicone.
2. It's small.
3. It's comfortable (once inserted).
This little butt plug has replaced all my other ones, it's superior in almost every way due to its material and anchor-shaped arms. It also works for all genders as my husband was able to stimulate his prostate with its thick nubby tip. The Bootie is a solid silicone toy for under $35, it's a great buy.. especially with the Holiday season fast approaching!

Follow-up commentary
12 months after original review
Unfortunately, the hooked end was enough for me to give this away completely to my husband. As it's silicone, I boiled the toy and he took it over. After multiple boilings, the material has held up and it is in almost the same condition as it was a year ago.
I wish I had positives to say about this toy as it was made by a very reputable company, Fun Factory, but as time has gone on, the Bootie has done little to interest me.
