Anal Douche? Should I Be Afraid?
All in all this is a great beginner product. I am personally very glad to choose this product over the others just because this seemed the less intimidating and easy to care for. I would recommend this for any first time users. There is always time and room for upgrade but for right now I am very content with my choice.

Pros
Easy to clean, portable, can break down for travel/storage.
Cons
Leaks, troubles with suction-cup.
I'm not really one to go into personal details, but I feel it is a must with this product.
To be perfectly honest, I was intimidated with the Unisex Douche just because of the stigma and subliminal thought of having to put something in my rectum. I over came that fear the very first time I tried it. I can now say I absolutely love this product with my every being! I enjoy the fact that it is very easy to clean (soap and warm water) and easy to use. It has a wonderful vinyl bag that holds up to 2 liters of fluid (I personally use luke warm water.), a simple draining tube, and two interchangeable nozzles with a butterfly style turn knob for valve control.
There are a lot of things to take into consideration as I did while making my purchase. Here are some great examples: 1.) It looks difficult to use: To be honest I thought so too, but once you get it into your hands, there are easy to gauge instructions right on the cover of the box. The rest is pretty much self explanatory. There are two nozzles, one for vaginal douche and one for anal enema. It's really easy to figure out which is which. You can trust me on this one. The anal nozzle is shaped like a small cone for easier entry)
2.) How do I clean it?: Fill the bag up with warm water and mild soap. I can not stress enough do not use antibacterial soap. It leaves soap scum and the antibacterial aspect kills good or natural flora aka bacteria that we naturally have and need in our bodies. I personally recommend using Summers Eve due to the fact that it has very little soap ingredient in it for mildness for women (like myself) who have an adverse reaction to regular soaps. Another soap that is mild and great to use is Johnson & Johnson's baby soap.
3.) Is this going to be uncomfortable?: To be perfectly honest, it is at first just because it is loosening the bowels and pretty much clearing the "highway" so to speak. But the end result is so awesome you wouldn't even have second thoughts about it. Another great thing is it has a butterfly style knob as I mentioned earlier that is easy to use. You get to be in control of the flow. To be honest, if you turn the nozzle all the way open it's not very heavy "Oh my God. I'm gonna die!" type of flow. I suggest playing with the nozzles and the knob before use just so you can gauge what will work best for you.
I do have troubles with it leaking but you can't expect everything to come without flaws. Personally, what I do is hang it on my shower wall (usually by the curtain), lay a towel on the floor underneath my knees and I get down on all fours during use. I also keep my tush in the air. Your body has a great way of telling you when it's time to stop and "empty" yourself. From there you can either continue use after "emptying" yourself or if you feel that it is sufficient enough, you can stop there. I don't suggest frequent use of the Unisex Douche because of the fact that it's not only affecting your rectum, but it does play a part with your bowels. I limit my use to once a week, primarily on Saturdays. I'll only use it twice in one week if I notice that I am experiencing B.M. expulsion issues. (Oh yeah, I went there. Someone has to right?)

Experience
My personal experience with this product couldn't make me happier. Some day I would like to "upgrade" to the Universal Water Works System, but for right now I am very happy with my Unisex Douche. I unfortunately suffer from lactose intolerance and thus constipation goes hand in hand. The main reason I got this product in particular was to help me cope with my thoughts on anal intercourse. I was highly uncomfortable the first time my partner and I gave it a try. It wasn't until the use of the unisex douche that it helped me become more confident as well as comfortable. I have also caught myself masturbating while using this product. For some reason it helps drain the fluids into the tube and makes it a more exhilarating experience for myself. Who knows, give it a try. It may do the same for you.
