I am a long-standing fan of Tantus' silicone products, which are aesthetically pleasing and consistently well-made from body-safe materials. I originally purchased the small Silk, as I already owned a larger version of the Silk, was new to anal play, and felt intimidated by the larger and more elaborate dildos and plugs. I very quickly found, however, true to some of the reviewers' comments, that the Silk was too small for satisfying anal penetration, and so I finally settled on the Infinity Royal.

The leap from the small Silk to the Infinity Royal was more than a small step up, as the latter is probably best suited for intermediate and advanced users. I was persistent, however, and the training was worth the effort because the Infinity Royal ultimately led to some truly mind-blowing orgasms.

When it comes to toys for backdoor play, I feel that silicone is definitely best because of the safety of the material, its non-porous surface (which is easy to sterilize), and its slight give. A number of the metal and glass plugs look very pretty, but the silicone is still slightly more forgiving.

One of the things I like best about the Tantus line of products is the sleek, minimal, and abstract styling. The colors are usually pretty, but not very natural, with pinks or purples with subtle swirls. Thus the Infinity Royal, which I chose in pink, is pleasant to look at, but also non-threatening for a partner. For those who plan on wearing the plug for longer periods of time, be aware that the base is not insignificant in size and could easily chafe. If you're paranoid about losing the toy inside you, as I am, you don't have a thing to worry about--the fit is extremely snug and secure.

I typically use this plug not for long-term wear, but rather as an enhancement for masturbation. I consider myself one of the fortunate women for whom anal penetration leads to extremely intense orgasms (with proper clitoral stimulation), and I have since discovered that if I first climax with the Infinity Royal in place, I am usually immediately ready for an equally intense second orgasm through vaginal penetration (with the Infinity Royal removed). This was a completely new development in my sexual repertoire, and I was delighted! Care and maintenance for high-quality silicone toys like the Infinity Royal are relatively simple. You may choose to boil the toy or immerse it in a bleach bath. My solution has been to simply cover the toy with a condom, and as an added measure of hygiene, wash with anti-bacterial soap before replacing the toy in its own separate box. It is worth noting that I store the toy separate from other silicone products, and never use anything other than a thick, water-based lubricant (silicone lubes can damage the product, and oil-based lubes aren't as vagina-friendly). So far, Maximus has turned out to be a good brand, though I am always on the market for new suggestions!

When inserting the Infinity Royal, it helps to be very well primed (i.e. aroused) and lubricated. The first time I attempted to insert went fine, but a couple of times afterward were more difficult, simply because I wasn't ready. This is not a toy to rush with, and once it's inserted, it will stay firmly in place and provide a very noticeable, firm fullness inside.
