I got this toy for several reasons:

-Stretching - I love the feel of being opened up. I thought that the combination of the max diameter and neck diameter of this toy would stretch me wide and maintain that feeling.

-Training - I'd read enough reviews and craved it long enough. I wanted to experience the A-Bomb, but knew I needed something to ease the transition.

-Different toy shape - Believe it or not, among the various plugs that I own, none have a traditional taper. I wanted to try that shape and felt this specific plug would help accomplish my other goals at the same time.

This toy is awesome for all of the above uses. Primarily, I think it's a training toy for intermediate or advanced anal players who may have their sights set on something larger. Even Tantus acknowledges that on their website, suggesting that this toy could be a warm-up to a fist.

The Ringo is a high-grade silicone toy that is part of the Tantus line with a matte texture to it rather than a glossy texture. I think it's comparable to the texture of Rocks Off toys, but with slightly more squishiness. However, there isn't much squish, if you compare to Tantus toys like the Ripple or Severin line. This firmness is key, seeing as my use for this toy necessitates little resistance to ensure I feel every bit of the diameter of the toy. I really like the texture and wish more Tantus toys had this firmness. Mmmm...a Tantus Severin Large this firm...Tantus are you listening?

This toy has a fairly traditional tapered design, with a couple of exceptions:

-The taper is longer than many other plugs of the same max diameter. This helps to make the stretching sensation more gradual.

-The neck provides much less of a diameter decrease than other plugs of this shape. This means more of a stretch when fully inserted.

The size isn't for beginners, considering the max diameter is 2.25" and the neck only relaxes down to 1.75". The size was plenty adequate for my intended use. I do wish that Tantus made a larger version so that I could relax on a 2" neck.

The base is wide and rigid, which can make it difficult to wear while walking around, but very comfortable while sitting on it fully inserted. I pull my cheeks apart as far as possible, pull the plug in as deep as my sphincters can, then tighten my gluteals and find that I can hold the plug while doing chores around the house. The length feels just right for sitting on while fully inserted too.

I hadn't experienced the feel of this type of taper prior to this toy. It's easy to gradually descend on without warm-up with another toy. That's a major plus for me if I don't want to get out multiple toys, if I don't have much time. The Severin Large popped in effortlessly after I used the Ringo for about 10 minutes.

This plug helped me accomplish the goal of training up to the A-Bomb. I found that the stretching it provides while resting on the base is my favorite thing about this plug. It provides constant sensation to the sphincters, which is definitely aided by the firmness.

Thanks to the high-end silicone construction, this toy is as easy to care for as other Tantus toys. It washes off easily with soap and water. Odor absorption is rare, but a natural scented soap has helped eliminate that when it is an issue. I avoid using silicone lubes, so that I don't cause damage.
