Spur VixSkin - realistic dildo discontinued by Vixen Creations, Inc - review by ShadowKitten

After browsing many many dildos one late night, I kept hearing 'try Vixskin, try Vixskin' echoed in various reviews. So I searched up the product line and checked the measurements and found this guy that looked to just fit my needs and I had the cash (in giftcard form); so I put him down for a buyout review and bit the bullet. Sadly I underestimated the 'oh so wonderful' material I had heard so much praise for in that it has a fair bit of give which made it too small for what I wanted it for; which in case you're wondering was a proper realistic cock that I could take fully as I bottom out around 6" or so anally.

Vixskin is supposed to be a more realistic feeling form of silicone, and while it does feel more skin-like than anything I've tried before, the 'give' issue was still its downfall. The Spur has a gel-like exterior and a firm inner core; this allows it to bend and thrust with ease without giving it a rigid sensation like many silicone dildos seem to. As many of you may know, using silicone lube with a silicone toy is a big no no, water based is best which allows you to just rinse it off after you're done; remember to dry it with a clean cloth or towel. You can also stick silicone toys in the top rack of the dishwasher with no soap by itself, use a 10% bleach solution, toy cleaner or boiled for 3-5 mins to clean the Spur.

I'm guessing the Spur was designed for anal use as it certainly isn't very girthy; the Vixskin material as I said is firm and forgiving which makes the Spur feel less girth than it's marketed as which is 1 1/4" in diameter. I personally found this to be lacking in girth for anal use and will want to check out a more suitable 1 1/2" girth next time I decide to bite the bullet on a Vixskin product, if I do.

The Spur was a learning experience I suppose in that I seem to either like girthy short toys or slender long ones for anal play. The Spur falls somewhere in between those two preferences and it's probably why I didn't really care for it despite paying its high price tag; but then again how does one learn until one has tried something? I did like the Vixskin material, but the size of the toy just did not fulfill my needs.

I do however think this would make a very nice dildo for someone new to anal play as the Spur's girth is slender and its length isn't anything to write home about so it could be just what your bum ordered if you're interested in anal play and want a realistic dildo to try out; the only way to really tell is to bite the bullet like I did.

This toy has been sitting in my toybox since the week I got it and hasn't gotten much use still, it just isn't girthy enough for my greedy rear orifice so I sadly can't recommend this to anyone except people that are beginners to anal play. I really wish this had panned out, maybe in the future I'll get the Mustang as it looks to be 'just right' though for now its 100 buck price tag is keeping me away :(
