The Lux LX-2 is a butt plug with the focus on being a prostate massager. It can be worn for masturbation or sex and even longer term wear, if you so choose. It is meant to be inserted and left there, but you (or better yet your partner) could manipulate it with the handle as well.

I have several prostate massagers and love to wear them during sex or masturbation. This one, like many others, is designed to move with your PC muscle contractions to stimulate the prostate. It also applies a steady pressure and provides some feeling of fullness. Since it is waterproof, it can, of course, be used in the shower for some wet 'n wild play. Some may enjoy sitting with it inserted and moving your hips about for more intense stimulation. The handle is flared for safety.

Though designed for a man, women could certainly use the LX-2 as well for anal sensations.

The material is non-porous silicone on the outside and hard ABS plastic inside the bulb part. It is firm, other than the handle, which flexes. The texture is matte and smooth and works best with water-based lubes. It is not recommended by EF to use silicone lubes with silicone toys, as it can degrade the material.

There is no odor from the toy and it it not realistic looking. The workmanship is top notch.

The LX-2 is a bit of a whimsical design with a black teardrop shape. The insertable portion tapers from the point to the widest portion that is 1 1/2" wide(4 1/2" in circumference) before tapering all the way down to 1/4". It is about 5 1/2" overall length with 4" being insertable. It weights about .3lbs.

The material is silicone covered ABS plastic and is very firm. The handle has a whimsical shaped loop that is flexible, so it is comfortable to sit on. It is also a functional handle for inserting/removing the plug.

At 1.5" this is an intermediate/advanced toy. I never had this on my radar, because I thought it was too big, then after trying Lelo Bob, I wanted something larger, but this is a bit intimidating for me at first.
My max insertable width is about 1 1/4", like the Pure plug medium and the LX-2 is even larger at 1 1/2" (and looks even bigger).

As it turns out, the LX-2 is a bit too large in width for me to easily use. It definitely requires a warm-up and even with that, I find trying to get it fully inserted to be painful and fear removing it could be equally or worse. I gave it a few tries with no success. My pain threshold is low as it is, but I just could not get this in. It's too bad. I like the design and wish there was a toy like this between the Lelo Bob (slightly small) and the LX-2 (large). Though they are 1" and 1.5" in diameter respectively, you will notice from the photos that the difference is quite drastic. It might have something more to do with the shape fitting my anatomy than the actual dimensions, but in either case it was a big fail for me.

I think it's possible that the shape/design, more than the actual girth, could be the problem too. Just does not fit my anatomy.

The Lux LX-2 is pure 100% non-porous silicone. Silicone is a 10 on the EF rating scale for safety. There is no noticeable smell from The LX-2 and it is smooth to the touch with a noticeable amount of drag. The drag can be a plus or minus depending on your preference, but a good water based lube makes it easy to slide inside your ass.

The only negative about the material is silicone draws lint and dust, but this is no worse than most any other silicone toy I have used in that regard. However, because they give you a storage box, this is a non issue. Alternately, you could use a baggie or pouch to store it.

Cleaning is easy. Just wash in soap and water or use a toy wipe after sex. You can also sterilize in a 10% bleach solution or boil in water for 10 min for a more thorough sterilization. It is not recommended to use Silicone lubricant with silicone toys of course, because it can degrade the material. You can however do a spot test at your own risk.

Lux has very nice packaging and LX-2 is no different. It comes in a nice black case with the Lux log on it and the LX-2 rests securely inside within a cutout. It looks very classy and is a convenient storage solution. If left on the bedside table, it wouldn't be obvious what is inside, unless someone knew the Lux brand already.

The box is a nice black cardboard box with the Lux logo imprinted in an understated way, almost as if it were a small cigar gift box. Inside with the LX-2 there is a an instruction pamphlet and catalog. It looks very classy and is a convenient storage solution.

When I first saw the LX-2 on EF, I was not interested at all. After shopping around and trying other toys and reading the positive reviews though, I decided to give it a try and see if I was missing something. I tried the Bob pleasure object from Lelo, and wanted something a little bit bigger with a similar design and the closest thing I could find was the LX-2. Something between the two sizes would be ideal.

It seems my initial concerns were correct, but I got the LX-2 on sale and thought I would give it a shot anyway. Perhaps I will grow into it someday, but at this time, I can't see it getting much use, since I cannot get it fully inserted yet. It's a shame, because it's a really nice toy, but just too large for me, having such a tight hole.

I will update my experience in a few months and see if I can actually use this toy.
