A lot of power (and rattle) for such a little toy!

If you are looking for a vibrator that is small with a lot of power, you've got it, but if you want something quiet with special settings, move on to something different. I give this 3 stars averaging those factors.

Use

The Water Missile Tear Drop Probe vibrator can be used inside or outside of the vagina, on the clitoris, nipples, or wherever you want. It says on the package that it's for "external use only", but I could not find anything that led me to believe it was unsafe to penetrate the vagina with this. I did not use this toy anally. It does not have any special features like other vibrators do, in which you can alternate with types of vibrations; you can only adjust level of intensity. This is a very basic vibrator. It is not large or hard to insert, so anyone can use this, even those new to penetration. It can be used alone or with a partner. It should not be used in close proximity to others, though, because it is pretty loud! It makes really loud rattling sounds the higher the intensity is. That was definitely a downfall of this toy. One nice feature is that this is waterproof, so it can be used in the shower. I would be careful about using it in a pool, since I'm not sure how airtight the bottom part is that screws off for the battery, but you could certainly try it. I'm not sure how loud it would be immersed in water, as I do not have a bathtub or pool to test that. It would probably be muffled.

Material / Texture

There is no special texture to this vibrator. It is very smooth, and feels the same all over. There is a bit of a seam at the top, which I assume is for the "intense power tip" that they advertise. It doesn't smell like anything. It is very hard. This is not flexible at all. If you like your toys to be flexible, this is not the toy for you.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

This has an interesting shape and looks as pictured. It has sort of an egg shape at the top (described as "tear drop") and gets very thin toward the middle and back out for the bottom. The size is a bit long for external use--in terms of hand comfort, I think something shorter would be better, but it is an appropriate size for use internally. It's 5.5 inches long, and at its widest, 1.25 inches diameter. I think this could be comfortably used by most people. This toy is small enough to travel well, and may not stick out right away. If only part of it was seen in a drawer, someone could think it was a flashlight or something I suppose, but I can't think of anything else this would be, so if it's out on your dresser, a kid may not realize anything is out of the ordinary, but your friends will probably realize this is a vibrator.

Functions / Performance / Controls

A great part of this vibrator is how easy it is to adjust settings. You slip the batteries in the bottom as pictured below, and then you just turn the little ridged knob. It doesn't click into place, but you just slide it along like turning up the volume on a 90s boombox. The downside of this is that it's easy for a finger or arm to accidentally slide the setting to something else.

missle adjuster

A downside of the Water Missile Tear Drop Probe is that it is very loud. It makes loud rattling sounds when it is on the higher settings, and it actually is pretty loud even on the lowest setting. When it is on the lowest setting, it actually is very intense.

The tip of it is called an "intense power tip", which means that the vibrations are really centered at the tip. You can feel them down the entire length of the vibrator, but they are definitely most intense at the tip.

Care and Maintenance

This is very easy to clean, considering it is waterproof. It's easy to care for. I haven't used it enough to know if it drains the battery, but the packaging suggests not to store it with the batteries. Although that's pretty standard, I think that's especially important for this vibrator, considering how easily the adjuster turns on. There is no on/off switch, just that sliding bottom that automatically turns it on, so this could easily get shuffled around and turned on and drain the whole battery--and make a lot of racket that gives it away to others. This is small, so it's easy to store. You could carry it in a handbag very easily, and it would fit in any toy storage box, drawer, or little drawstring bag.

You can't really reuse the packaging for much. You can take it out, and put it back in and make it look like it was never opened -- which is nice. It is very easy to open, so I guess you could take it out and see how it works before giving it to your partner if you wanted to do so. There were no instructions, but it was very self-explanatory. If you open the box when it's shipped, people will definitely know exactly what it is.

Experience

My experience with this was similar to other vibrating toys: I just don't like them, and I am completely giving up! I have tried a range of vibrating toys and have liked none of them. I tried to review this very objectively, though. My partner and I used this together and it was okay, but I much preferred hands and mouths to this vibrator, as I do with others. This is the last chance I'm giving to a vibrator, so you won't see any more vibrator reviews from me unless something miraculous happens! However, I did realize that today when my neck was hurting, this did a good job of fixing that for me, so I think I'll keep it around for that!
Follow-up commentary
So in my original view I just used this during sex with a partner. I decided to take it out these few weeks later and use it by myself, and I still really don't like it. It was really loud, and for someone who doesn't like vibrations that much, it was just way too powerful, though that is a plus for someone who does like the intensity. I used it until orgasm, and when it happened, it was incredibly short and I could barely even feel it. Normally I have very intense orgasms that are very long, so that was really disappointing to me. I won't be using this again. It just wasn't right for me, but it could be excellent for someone else.
