A Little Friend You Can Take Anywhere (or any way)
I think this is a great item, it is different from many plugs out there. It is good value for the price and well worth getting for those interested in anal play.

Pros
Value, Unique design, Versatile
Cons
Bit bulky for beginners, Slight chemical smell
I was excited when I found out this item was shipping. I had been fascinated with the design and shape of the Raging hard-ons butt plug from Doc Johnson. It was a lot different from previous plugs I had used so naturally I was curious. My partner and I have similar toys from the Doc Johnson vac-u-loc line so I wanted to see how well it would translate into a butt plug. It arrived in simple plastic packaging with a little information about the toy. It is easily opened and closed which is great for storing the toy long term as it won’t react to the plastic of the box.
It is designed with a flared base (an absolute must for anal toys). Additionally it is veined in texture to increase stimulation. It is a larger plug and maybe more for intermediate use then beginner. It measures in at four and a half inches total length with about three and a half inches insertable. It is a little bit girthy for an anal toy with a circumference of more than five inches at its widest. The plug is made from Doc-Johnson sil-a-gel pvc rubber. This is a rubber substance with antibacterial agents added to it to make it safer. However, rubber is still not a great material for repeated use as it is porous and can sometimes lead to infection. The best way to avoid this is by using a condom with the toy every time and ensuring you wash it thoroughly with warm soapy water and a mild antibacterial soap after every use. The positive side of using rubber as a material of choice is that it can be used with any type of lubricant, water or silicone based.
As I mentioned we have another toy from the same line (a vac-u-loc dildo) that is also made from sil-a-gel. When we first opened that dildo there was an overwhelming smell of chemical rubber and I was worried this toy would be the same. I am pleased to say that while there is a little bit of a smell it is not nearly as overpowering. This shouldn’t really be a problem unless you are really turned off by the smell. It will however stay on your hands if you have handled the toy for a while.
In terms of use it is worth saying that the material is a lot firmer than some other sil-a-gel products. This can be a little bit of a problem if you are not warmed up enough. It has more of a rigid feel than I expected from it, being veined and ribbed the way it is the firmness could cause trouble for someone who is less experienced with anal play. It has a nice shape and a nice curve to it which means it stimulates you in a way most straight plugs don’t. It tapers in enough that it should hold in place well enough during use. Interestingly enough we have found that a good use for this toy is vaginal stimulation. Firstly it must be said that if you have ever used it anally without a condom then do not insert it vaginally, as I have said the material cannot be sterilised fully so this could lead to serious infection. However if you have not used it anally or have always used condoms then it is worth trying as a vaginal toy. It works well with a female chastity belt (the leather strap kind) to hold it in place and keep it from falling out. It is wide enough and textured enough to give great stimulation to the G-spot.
In conclusion I would say that if you are a novice to anal play then this might be a little intimidating given its girth, but if you have some experience and are looking to try something different then this toy is well worth getting. As I have mentioned the material is not top grade in terms of hygiene/safety so always be careful and avoid sharing if possible. It is much different from conventional anal plugs and well worth trying if you’re curious about the shape or want to move on from slimmer plugs.

Follow-up commentary

Well initially I liked the texture and shape it grew to be uncomfortable with continuous use. It has some very pronounced ridges that make anal insertion somewhat uncomfortable unless you are very warmed up. Added to this it is a porous material, while you can use a condom with it I still prefer anal toys to just be safe to use or at least possible to sterilize.
If you don't mind the lower grade material and are a fan of texture then this might be exactly what you are looking for. It goes without saying that beginners to anal play will definitely find this a challenge.

Interesting toy... bad choice of material. Being able to use a wider range of lubes isn't a benefit if you have to use a condom to keep a toy clean! Great review.
