Use

The Get a Grip prostate and g-spot massager is a penetrative vibrating toy that has some major benefits for the casual toyer. The toy has two segments: a handle, which contains the control button, and a penetrative piece, which is angled with a larger nub at the tip to specially target the g/p spot area. Being a trans man, I haven't got a p-spot, so I used this for g-spot stimulation. I found that the handle was easy to grip when it didn't have lube on it, and the toy fit neatly into my front hole and found its way quickly to my g-spot. I did use some water-based lube with this toy, and would recommend it, though the truth is that the Get a Grip is small enough that it won't be strictly necessary.

Material / Texture

The Get a Grip is made of phthalate free, latex-free, plastic. It's a hard toy, with a satiny exterior that felt smooth against my skin. The plastic is unyielding, which I imagine might be difficult for folks with bodies that don't mimic the shape of the toy perfectly. With that said, I found that the shape the toy came in was perfect for reaching my g-spot, and there was no flexibility necessary.

The Get a Grip had no smell or taste, even right out of the package.

Design / Shape / Size

The Get a Grip worked perfectly for me, reaching my g-spot easily, though as I said above, it's very rigid. This makes me worry about folks whose bodies don't fit the toy. However, one great thing about the design was that the handle allows the user to position the toy however they see fit. In my case, that was a relaxed position for my wrist, though I imagine that for individuals with g or p spots that are further up, or for folks with bigger bodies, the toy might not be big enough or flexible enough for ideal penetration.

The size of this toy makes it great for beginners. It's very skinny, meaning that it'll slip into even the tightest orifice comfortably.

The controls for the Get a Grip, which has 7 different vibration patterns, are located on a nub at the end of the handle. One thing I love in a vibrating toy of this style, where just one button controls the vibration, is an easy turn-off switch. This toy had that: if you hold the controls down for 5 seconds or so, the vibe turns off. Speaking of, this toy takes two double A batteries. They pop right in, after you take off the tip of the handle by pushing with your thumbs.

Performance

I thought the best part of this toy was the firm vibrations that it delivered. Because the toy is rigid, the vibrations carried through to the tip incredibly clearly. Even in the shower, with all the water around me that typically distracts from vibration, I could still feel the toy inside me.

A tip, speaking of the water: I found that the Get a Grip hugely enhanced my shower experience when I slipped it in before starting, and made myself leave it alone, just buzzing away, for the length of the shower.

Care and Maintenance

You can use toy cleaner or soap and water to clean this toy. You can use any kind of lube on this toy, since it's not silicone based. Indeed, since it's made in part for use in the shower, I'd recommend silicone lube, since this doesn't wash off as quickly as water-based lube.

You can't sterilize plastic, so if you're going to use this toy with multiple partners, I'd recommend putting a condom on.

thank you for pointing out the silcone lube option and compatability. Silicone lube is much better when playing in water.

I'm going to have to look into options for finding that g-spot with a toy. No problem with using my fingers, but toy play can be fun. the lack of flexibility in the material could be a major issue.
