Royal Wedding treatment for YOUR Prince Willy
An inexpensive, funny gag gift that might actually turn into a real wedding or anniversary tradition that HE might not mind.
Published:
Pros
comfortable, stretchy
Cons
ruffles might make his warrior feel like a princess
Most of you have heard about the tradition of the groom taking the garter off the bride at the reception shindig, so why not do the same for the guy. Just please do this later on alone in the bedroom, so Aunt Linda or Grandma Betty don't have to be rushed to the hospital to be treated for shock or a heart attack.
PACKAGING:
The garter comes attached in a plastic pouch on a simple cardboard card with a cartoon picture of a man sitting in a chair and the bride ready to remove the garter for him and the title "Willy Wedding Garter" written on it. That's it...no other writing or instructions on the back of the package.
DESCRIPTION:
The white garter is 4 inches around, stretches to 8 inches and guaranteed to fit most sizes. It is made of a white fabric. The fabric doesn't feel like silk. It's not cotton and for sure not polyester. In fact, it kinda reminds me of 80's bridesmaid dress fabric. While I can't find anywhere where it says the material, I am guessing it is like taffeta. A strip of white lace wraps around the top of the material and a small white ribbon bow sits front and center on top of that. There is one piece of elastic that makes the garter stretchy and stay in place.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Mr. Groom should slip it on before playtime (or during, depending on what you like). Then the other wedding partner is supposed to slide it off using whatever method you prefer (hands, teeth, etc). It's a fun twist on the normal tradition.
**Can be used with gay or straight couples.**
CARE:
I didn't see any wash instructions on the site or package, but I would guess the company would suggest hand washing (since most taffeta items need to be dry cleaned). My personal suggestion would say to throw it in with the delicates in the washing machine on low and hang to dry. It can be stored in a drawer or toy bag without any worries of it getting smashed.
FEEL:
My partner told me it has a comfortable fit and wasn't totally restricting the goods. The garter did not feel scratchy on his skin or mine (wink wink). It didn't stay on for a long time period, so we don't know how long he could wear it before it became irritating if at all.
HONEST OPINION:
This is a novelty item. Maybe you'll really try it on and like it or maybe it will just be an inexpensive party gift that makes everyone giggle and turn red. It's up to you. For couples that like to share every experience and step into your partner's shoes or who just like to try new things, this could be the start of a twisted tradition with something old, something new, something borrowed, but hopefully nothing turns blue!

Experience
HIS OPINION:
It has a comfortable fit, slides on and off easily, and is not restrictive. BUT it makes my weiner look kinda girly with lace and bows down there.
HER OPINION:
I'm usually the one who puts on lingerie, so it was a little funny to see him wearing this! I laughed when he first stepped out, but it was a fun way to start foreplay and lead to other "wedding night activities."

Follow-up commentary

Haven't used it since the first experience, but are saving it for the anniversary night just for giggles. My man doesn't really dress up as much as I do... maybe that's a good thing I dunno.
I washed it once and it held up just fine through a delicate wash cycle.
