I bought this as a gift for a female-to-male transgendered friend to mark the milestone of starting testosterone. This toy was a lifesaver since I wanted to buy him a penis-themed toy. Most of the other penis-themed gifts I found were made for bachelorette parties, and were pink, glittery, or otherwise simply way too feminine to make an appropriate gift for a budding gentleman. I thought the size (1"-2") was nice too, as it was about the same length as a testosterone-enhanced pre-op appendage. However, since it was glow-in-the-dark rather than any kind of skin tone, I still felt it was appropriate to give to a platonic friend.

When he opened the gift, we both had a good laugh. I had wrapped it in baby-shower themed "It's a Boy!" paper (surprisingly, Hallmark doesn't make transition milestone themed cards and gift bags; they should). I felt that the penis toy was an important part of my gift as it reinforced that he is a strong, independent adult, and not a baby as the wrapping might have suggested. He took it out of the box and wound it up, and it jumped enthusiastically like a miniature thrusting penis. It was hilarious!

The toy did glow in the dark, but it wasn't really recognizable as a penis in the dark. However, this did not bother us, as it was hilarious enough in the light.

As his voice broke and he started growing facial hair, he could always look at this little memento and know that, despite any objections his family may have, I will always be there to support him. Even if your message is not that deep, this gift is perfect for a birthday party, bachelor/bachelorette party, or "just because". It is hard, glow-in-the-dark plastic, with a realistic shape but not a realistic size. Just the perfect balance of realistic and suggestive to make it funny, but not graphic. This little guy will make you laugh for years to come!
