Not Impressed

The Male Do It Sexting Kit by Sportsheets makes a good gag gift but it's not for the serious "sexters". The kit includes gems, stickers, temporary tattoos, and a cardboard ruler. The kit is corny and cheap (in terms of quality) and honestly, I probably would not recommend this to anybody. Instead, go to your local dollar store and pick the items up there for much less.

extremely useful review
I purchased the Male Do It Sexting Kit by Sportsheets for my partner last year. I purchased it at the end of the year to use as a stocking stuffer at Christmas time. He laughed when he seen it but it’s been sitting in his drawer unused since then.

The kit is packaged in a thin cardboard box. The front of the box states the product name, what the kit includes, and has a few pictures. The back of the packaging has the same information as the front as well as the company website, and a few more pictures. The packaging is thin and does not take up much room. It’s great for storing the contents in when they’re not being used.

The kit includes: 100 adhesive gems, 9 temporary tattoos, 16 naughty stickers, 40 emoticon stickers, 52 adhesive letters, and a 12 inch junk ruler. These items are supposed to be used for “sexting”. In case you do not know what sexting is, I’ve found a definition online to share. “Sexting is the act of sending sexually explicit messages or photographs, primarily between mobile phones.” The stickers, gems, and/or tattoos can be placed on the body for a naughty photo(s) to send to your partner (or whoever really). Though the kit was made for sexting, the contents can be used for anything whether it is sexual or non-sexual.

My favourite item in the kit is the gems. They’re sparkly. Half of the gems are circular while the other half are in the shape of a teardrop. The first thing I thought when I had seen them was “vajazzling!” I’ve never actually done this before but thought it would be interesting to try. If you’re unsure what vajazzling is, I’ve found an online definition for you. “The act of applying glitter and jewels to a woman's nether regions for aesthetic purposes.” My partner would not be interested in putting these gems anywhere on his body so they’re mine now.

The gems are on a clear piece of plastic. The circular gems have a diameter of a little over 1/8 of an inch each. The teardrop shaped gems has a length of 2/8 of an inch each. I stuck one of the gems on my hand to see how well they hold and surprisingly they stick quite well to the skin.

My second favourite item in the kit is the phrase stickers. The stickers are on a clear plastic sheet. When you want to use one of the stickers, just cut the sticker from the sheet, remove the back to the sticker, and apply. This sheet of stickers has 7 phrases and 9 different arrows. The phrases are as follows: “Suck it”, “Lick it”, “Touch it”, “Here”, “Rub n’ Tug”, “Motor Boat”, and “Slide Here”. The phrases are fairly unisex. I’m surprised they would have “motor boat” and “lick it” in the male kit. These stickers can also be used for scrap booking, or other artsy projects.

The next sheet of stickers is the letters. There are 4 of each letter, 2 capitals and two lowercase. The font is bold and black. The capital letters are 2/8 of an inch in length. The last sheet of stickers is the emoticons or smiley faces. These faces have different expressions on them, and they are the only stickers in the kit that are full colour. Each face has a diameter of 3/8 of an inch. Personally, I find the emoticons to be the most useless stickers in the kit. The stickers are cute, but I can’t see anyone using these for sexting purposes. I’ll probably use these stickers in my journal.

The tattoos are black in colour and I find them to be quite feminine. Most of the tattoo designs have butterflies in them. While a man can definitely wear the tattoos, my partner wouldn’t. To apply a tattoo to your skin, cut the tattoo from the sheet, remove plastic covering to the tattoo, press the face of the tattoo firmly to the place of application, hold wet washcloth against the back of the tattoo to your skin for a minimum of 30 seconds, peel the paper away from the skin slowly, and voila!

Experience
...continued

These types of tattoos never last very long on me. I’d say three days maximum before I’m scrubbing it off because it’s already started to come off by itself. To remove the tattoo from your body, you can use rubbing alcohol, or soap and water.

The last item in the kit is the junk ruler. The ruler is made of cardboard and is folded inside of the kit. The ruler measures 12 inches and its purpose is to measure your penis. At each inch there is a critique of the measurers penis. For example, at 1 inch it says “you’re in trouble”. At 3 inches it says “keep hoping”, at 6 inches it says “about average” and at 9 inches it says, “this is gonna hurt”. The ruler is just as useless (in my opinion) as the emoticon stickers. At least with the emoticon stickers, I can use them for art purposes. The stickers and tattoos are not reusable.

Overall, this kit makes a good gag gift because it’s a little silly. I do like the gems that come with the kit, but I could do without the rest of the items. Obviously my partner didn’t find the kit that intriguing because it’s been 5 months since he’s had it and he never used anything from the kit. Also, I feel that this kit is better for females because the tattoos and gems are feminine, and some of the phrases are best suited for female wear. I plan on wearing one of the phrases on my body soon, but it won’t be for sexting photos. I’ll probably slap the “Lick it” sticker on me with an arrow pointing downwards. My partner will get a good kick out of it
Follow-up commentary
The Do It Sexting Kit is just silly. I've actually used the contents of the kit more for crafting. I still wouldn't recommend it.
