My hearts are frozen!
The heart-shaped ice cube tray is a whimsical little item to add a little something special to beverages. It's a little pricey for something that only holds 12 cubes, but it's a fun little addition to my freezer.

I grabbed this ice cube tray on a whim one day when I wanted to spend the last of my points on my order and I'm so glad I did. It arrived a few days before Valentine's Day and I decided it would be festive and fun to have heart-shaped ice cubes for drinks that night. They were definitely a hit!
This tray only makes 12 ice cubes so for the novelty of this tray to really have an effect it's best to freeze the water, empty the frozen hearts into a container in the freezer and repeat until there's enough to go around. This method is a bit time consuming and if I hadn't had friends coming over for a little party, I never would have gone through that much hassle just for ice.
The tray is smaller than regular ice cube trays, lengthwise and wider, too, so it's a bit of a pain to put the water in the tray and then put it in the freezer as it can't just sit on top of the other trays that most people have in their freezers.
This adorable pink plastic heart cube tray comes in a plastic wrap with a cardboard flap. There's no real information given other than that this is a novelty item. No other useful information comes along with the tray.
It's a little tricky getting the hearts out of the tray after they're frozen because the tray is a little too rigid, but with a little effort they pop out intact. If you put too much pressure on the tray when you're twisting it to get the hearts out, it's almost guaranteed to break. From just slight pressure and twisting it feels like it will.
I can't find any information about this being top-rack dishwasher safe, so wash by hand with warm water and dish soap.

Experience
I really enjoy this ice cube tray, but I won't be buying another. $5.99 for 12 heart-shaped cubes is just a little too much in my opinion. It's whimsical and very cute, but that's about it.
Follow-up commentary

I don't use this ice tray often because it doesn't hold as many cubes as I'd prefer, but I still really like it and I'll still use it as a novelty item around Valentine's Day and on birthdays and anniversaries. It's just not very practical for typical day-to-day usage.
I've found that turning it upside down in a clean sink and running the bottom under hot water makes the cubes just fall out easily, which solves the problem of it being hard to twist to free the cubes.
