Gary (Steven St. Croix) can't believe it...a girl the same age as his step-daughter, dancing right before his very eyes. Her smooth, soft skin pales beneath the harsh lights of the stage. The Acting: I can honestly say I saw little, intense sparks of passion between Lola and Gary, more than once. The lines were delivered naturally; you can clearly see there's actually some intelligence behind them. Then there's the funniest thing I have ever seen or heard in a porno. I'm dying to tell you all what it is, but I'm not going to. It's that fucking funny. I will tell you it's in the first sex scene. Rating: ♥♥♥♥

Wardrobe/Set Decoration: The central location used for most of the production is a pretty nice house in what could be Anywhere, USA. None of the props were distracting or unbelievable. The sex took part on normal surfaces, none of this kneeling on concrete by the pool or tiles in the shower stuff. I usually spend half of my time going "man, that's really gotta fuckin' hurt her knees/back/head/ass" instead of watching the actual sex in a lot of films. Or, I'll be wondering just who in the hell thought that lime green and brown were a good color combination for an anal sex scene. No worries there with Wonderland. The outfits chosen were sleek and sexy. They could almost be described as classy, in a way. Rating: ♥♥♥♥

Plot: The best thing about this production is the plot has an actual beginning, a middle and an end. It's basically Gary recounting the story of becoming addicted to sex with the much younger Lola. You see him meander through various types of activities that are usually badly handled by mainstream productions. Nothing came across as comical, except that one moment I mentioned earlier. There also isn't anything that I would consider degrading, just a good healthy dose of power play. Rating: ♥♥♥♥

Sex Scenes: The sex is straight-up hetero. No threesomes. No girl on girl. And you know what? I really, really like that. It's so rare these days. There is not a single anal penetration scene of any kind, not even a rim job.

It's just good old-fashioned sex. The most used positions are cowgirl, reverse cowgirl, missionary and doggie. The scenes run between short and quick and fifteen to twenty minutes in length. For me, the longer scenes got a little tedious a couple of times, but before I knew it they were over. So that's a plus; they don't drag on for twenty-five to thirty minutes.

There is also a ton of really great oral closeups. The best thing about the oral scenes is that they aren't rushed. The guys are genuinely trying to make the girls orgasm and that was refreshing. Certainly not something you see every day. Rating: ♥♥♥♥

Overall Opinion: Wonderland is quite deserving of the praise from AVN; it truly is a unique concept unlike anything I have ever seen in an adult film before. While the sex isn't exactly spot-on with how one imagines passionate trysts to be, the scenes between all of the actors and actresses are still more believable and more intense than the run-of-the-mill films out there. I will definitely be watching it over and over. Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥

I still watch this a lot when I'm in a "fantasy mood". Paradise Island replaced it as my favorite though.
