John Leslie's Dog Walker was a surprise to me all the way through. I am used to porn that kind of just starts, or displays the company's logo, but this one begins with previews like an actual movie. When the film started and a different movie's title came on, I was originally alarmed and thought that perhaps I had recieved a different movie in error, but that was not the case. After three long previews for other erotic films, Dog Walker started.

The first thing I noticed about this movie was that it was kind of grainy and dark, almost like a soap opera you might see on one of the local broadcast channels. Everyone's hair and clothes seems a little... off, but that's just because it was filmed in 1994.

This is a really long movie and has an actual plot running all the way through. It is about a jewel thief who runs into trouble with a mob boss and all of the scenarios he finds himself in. It is pretty heavy in drama for a porn and can sometimes be hard to follow since the scene shifts fairly often and it can be difficult to tell exactly what is going on other than sex. There are bits of dialogue in between everything to help sort it out though, but I couldn't help wondering sometimes what the people are doing and why. For example, the main character Vito (the jewel thief) stands with the mob boss and watches a girl pleasure three men while the mob boss says "Those animals love having their cocks sucked." And all I could think was why are these people standing there watching, and all four of the other people do not care one bit?

Some parts seemed very dramatic and staged, while others- such as the club scene, seemed much more natural. All in all, it was a very good film for the time and definitely worth watching if you enjoy a plot-driven porn, but there are some movies today which have benefited from advantages of experience and long-running companies behind them, while this was one of Evil Angel's earliest films.
