Awakening? Not So Much...
This movie is very well made. The actors are believable, the chemistry is great, and the overall feel is romantic. It's not a spectacular movie, the plot was a bit slow and the sex was a bit repetitive. But overall, this movie is a good buy for someone who's looking for a romantic porn.

This was my first real porn. I have been exposed briefly to sites like youporn, redtube, etc, but never really got into watching porn. But, the idea of a vanilla, romantic porn movie interested me. Going in to it, I had no idea what my porn preferences are. Unfortunately, coming out if it, I still don't. The story line is interesting, the acting was actually quite good, and the performers were talented and attractive. However, it just did not captivate my interest. The scenes were too long and too repetitive. It was all heterosexual, no anal, and no BDSM. It was very romantic.
The actors are as follow: Dale DaBone, Kimberly Kane, Samantha Ryan, T.J. Cummings, Danny Mountain, Misty Stone, Tony DeSergio, and Allie Haze.
The movie started out with an opening sequence of music and credits. The mood was romantic, with rose petals everywhere and soft music. It was lovely and sweet, but also a bit long. The couple that are shown, Samantha and Dale, are perfectly, if a bit too perfectly, synchronized. I felt that the first scene was the best, probably because it was new. It was well done and quite erotic. It was definitely more romantic than kinky, and it was very vanilla and sweet. The only thing that bothered me was the quick cuts; it felt too abrupt and it ruined the fluidity and romanticism. The changing of the camera angles really really bothered me, and it didn't get better as the movie went on.
The next morning is where we get the actual plot for the story. Dale proposes with a ring and champagne, and Samantha accepts, happily. She calls her best friend, Misty, who is also overjoyed, and everything seems happy...that is until Sam gets into an accident and falls into a coma. Dale is distraught and visits Sam everyday, at least in the beginning.
Then, the action shifts to Misty and her boyfriend, Tony. This one was less romantic, and felt more like 'take our mind off life' sex. Nonetheless, the scene was well done and still quite loving. It starts with the foreplay, kissing, and oral before moving to penetration. This scene featured a lot of doggy style sex, which didn't give that great a view. This scene wasn't really that great, in my opinion, but I did find Tony and his British accent quite yummy!
By the middle of the movie, I was quite bored and a bit confused. They veered away from the Samantha and Dale story line, and Allie and TJ are introduced. Their sex scene in the closet would have been totally arousing for me...had it not been for the fact that they were patients in a hospital with hospital gowns. I found the idea of sex in a hospital very squicky. However, if that's your thing, then this scene would have wonderful! It was certainly well done, and the idea of the forbidden is quite tantalizing. If the setting was changed, I would have said that this was my favorite scene.
After the Allie and TJ scene, there is quite a lot of plot. Samantha's character is awake from her coma, and was told by the nurse that her fiance couldn't take it anymore. Then, she finds love with the guy on the other bed, Danny. They fall in love and it's a very sweet and moving scene.
The last scene and the last sex scene is between Samantha and Danny. It's quite reminiscent of the first scene. Samantha and Danny are in a large, beautiful bed a year later, and are most definitely making love. The sequence of the sex is much like the other scenes (foreplay, oral, penetration), but this scene was truly special. It's truly like looking in on a relationship between two people who meet at low points in life and find each other. The chemistry between them is very realistic.

Experience
I can't really find much fault with the actors and the movie itself, but for me it just didn't work. The beginning was hot, but I thought that the later sex scenes were very repetitive. There was a very specific formula: kissing, foreplay, oral, oral, penetration. In multiple instances the male waits for the female to finish, whips off the condom, and cums on her. Also, there was a lot of time where there was just plot and no sex. The plot wasn't spectacular, so I was really bored and could barely stay awake.
One of my other personal gripes is that the doctor didn't get a sexual role. I thought that he was the hottest, and I really wanted to see him get it on! Unfortunately, it was not to be. The doctor and the nurse had no sex scenes at all, which was totally disappointing.
Overall, this movie was good. It was sweet and romantic, but the middle was also very boring. If you are a lover of romantic, vanilla sex with a decent plot, then this is the movie for you. If you're looking for something kinkier and edgier, you won't find it here.

I tried watching it again, but I barely got past the second sex scene. It was just too boring and repetitive.

Thanks for the review. Unfortunately, the cum shots are pretty normal in porn. I just don't understand why they always have to show the man getting off. And the doctor and nurse not getting it on, damn!

I know...it wasn't even a particularly good cum shot! Thanks!

Very nice review, thanks!

I agree with the slow plot in the middle. I believe they go 28 minutes with no sex at one point.
