Guide To Materials
Microfiber
-
Components
Synthetic fibers with strands less than one denier. -
Properties
Microfiber fabrics are generally lightweight, resilient or resist wrinkling, have a luxurious drape and body, retain shape, and resist pilling. Also, they are relatively strong and durable in relation to other fabrics of similar weight. -
Hygiene And Maintenance
Microfiber may be hand-washed in tepid water with the addition of gentle detergent. Because this material is very fine, heat penetrates its fibers more quickly than thicker fibers, so it should be ironed at low temperatures.
