I hope this will be of some interest to you! I am currently doing research for my university dissertation on female attitudes towards sex robots and sex toys more broadly. The popularity of sex toys amongst women led me to question why it is that sex dolls, and now sex robots, are mostly purchased by men. For this reason, I am interested in any possible links between female attitudes towards sex robots and evolutionary ideas of mating preferences. I am also interested in any differences between the female perception of using sex toys compared with that of sex robots.
Before beginning this research questionnaire, please read the following information carefully so that you are well informed in what participation will involve, should you choose to complete it. Firstly, please only complete this questionnaire if you are a biological female over the age of 18 who is sexually attracted to biological males.
The questionnaire should take no longer than 20 minutes to complete and consists of both short and long-answer questions. Some of the topics discussed in this questionnaire may be completely new to you or difficult to think about. You may answer in as much detail as you wish though some of the short-answer questions require an answer. By completing and submitting the questionnaire you are consenting for your answers to be used in my research paper. At the end of the questionnaire, you will have the option to consent to be contacted for a follow-up interview which would be conducted over a voice-call service such as Skype.
This post has been approved by the edenfantasys forum moderators and my university research ethics committee. Your safety and confidentiality is of the upmost importance to me. To best ensure your anonymity, all data gathered will be stored on an encrypted computer and viewed only by myself and my dissertation supervisor. All names will be changed and no identifiable data will be included in the final paper. Upon completion of my paper, all raw data and contact details will be erased.
