I feel a little guilty about it, too. I am a student and would not be able to spend the money otherwise, so in return I just want to do the best reviews I can and promote EF.
Would you feel guilty if...

I think the points program is amazing. It's a great tool. It's what will keep me coming back to eden to buy my toys! I know there's no way I have the patience to wait until I save up $130 in points (my current cart total!) but I can sure earn points up until payday! It's a great tool that's gotten me to look around the site more then I ever would have before, and I have some fun new things on my wish list because of it.

I do feel pretty guilty when I pay for an order in only points, but sometimes that's the only way that I can afford to shop.
I try to write quality reviews on every item I own in order to 'give back' to Eden.

I don't have a job and I'm going to college so my money goes to bills and savings; I can't really afford to spend a bunch of money on sex stuff, so I don't feel bad at all. It's kind of like feeling bad for the promotions and free lubes and free toys they give us; they opt to give us the option, so why feel guilty for it?
Points pretty much pay for an interesting sex life for me, and in turn I try to review things for them. I also kind of word-of-mouth advertise Eden as the only non-specialty sex shop I go to.

If you're being a positive member of the community, don't feel bad. There are a lot of other companies who give you something free if you spend a set amount. Eden is just nice because you can get something for free if you spend time on their site and help out other users.

I do feel a bit "guilty", or should I say embarrassed, but I also know EF wouldn't have the programs in place if they couldn't do it and stay in business. I only earn like 100-150 points per day, which is much less than some others here. Thoughts?

If you start abusing the system, then you should feel guilty.

I wouldn't feel guilty. They wouldn't offer the program if they weren't making more money than they give in points. The program is to their advantage, or it wouldn't exist.

Nah, I don't feel guilty. I figure I'm actually selling products for them by writing reviews. Those things have got to generate more business.

I do not abuse their system so I do not feel guilty about the points program. I do feel guilty when I see the points stack up higher and higher and I think of it in cash terms though.

I don't really feel guilty. I could spend all day on here (and sometimes I do) and I spend a good several hours writing my reviews (while handling the item to make sure I didn't forget anything). Whatever I get for "free", I work really hard for.

Nope! Reviewing and contributing to the community is why Eden is so awesome!

Just depends. There have been times when I've paid $150 out of my pocket on this site, and times where I've paid $20 after using the points program. I think it evens out

I just made a large order that was paid for entirely by points and gift cards. In the past there has been a twinge of guilt, but with this, I'm writing articles for SexIs, doing sponsored posts on my blog and contributing to the community, so I don't feel guilty. I feel that I'm working with the company and this is a different albeit very nice payment method. As long as you feel like you are contributing to the community and helping the company in some way, then you should feel fine with your orders.

If ALL of them were free, I'd feel guilty. I feel a little bit guilty just using points, even though I don't spam and my opinions in reviews/comments/forum are genuine. But Eden is awesome because of it.
03/16/2012
I don't review so....
03/16/2012
I feel a tiny bit guilty, but right now I'm broke. I still recommend Eden to my friends, and I like to think they're purchases compensate, and I'm honest and up front with my reviews. So, one day, I'll buy them, but not for a while.
03/16/2012
I do feel a tiny bit guilty, but hell, I'm Catholic! I feel guilty about everything!
03/16/2012
I don't feel guilty for using my points, but I always(at least most of the time) end up spening a little money as well, and the points are for services you've done, at least the reviewing is and that where people get the most points.

i dont feel guilty, id like to think they do the points program to share the joy with broke unemployed individuals such as myself
03/25/2012
So I had another random thought that made me feel even less guilty: Because of Eden, I've learned a lot about toy safety and end up supporting better individual companies in general as well as recommending higher quality toys to people. So, I feel like even if my contributions to Eden are small compared to some other people's here, I'm contributing to other people's sexual safety now as well because I was able to try out quality toys I wouldn't have otherwise been able to afford. And that makes me feel good.
03/25/2012
I Wouldn't. I'm broke too, and so long as you give back, I think it's fine.
