I think I'm finally a lot more comfortable talking to my daughter about sex toys. We open the packages together when they come and put in the batteries and then feel the items vibrate in our hands, on the desk, etc.

I don't mind talking to her about it here at home but when we're out in public, I prefer to not discuss sex/sex toys with her. Lingerie is ok though.

I think if my mom recommended something to me, I would really like that. We are really open when it comes to sex and sex toys, even though we don't really talk about it a whole lot, I actually have recommended things to her not that long ago when we went through the site together when she decided she wanted a new vibrator. It's always been like this though, I think she's always wanted to have a friendship with me and she tells me a lot about her sexual experiences, even though I'm still a virgin and never really been in a real relationship. I think some people would be uncomfortable with it, and others wouldn't. but I think if you can be comfortable talking to your parents/kids about these kinds of things, you're both really lucky.

I've talked to my mother about sex toys on different occasions - when I was a teenager I know she's encountered vibrators I used to keep in my drawers and such. We've joked about it, and she also has used/ I'm sure still does use vibrators. We're decently open about it, but not overly specific as it does embarrass us both a bit to share too much. I checked off yes, embarrassed, but open to it.

That's great! I know that I could openly talk about the toys with my sister-in-law when I sold Pure Romance, but at first it totally shocked her because I was about 9 years old when she met me! hahaha. And then all of the sudden I was 21 and selling sex toys. But after the initial shock, she got over it and we could talk about the toys openly.

About a week after getting this job, my step dad nudges me and shows me his blackberry. He subscribes to our newsletter! They knew about the company before I did! I bought my sister a toy, and chat with them about toys as well. My family is kind of amazing like that. My mother-in-law likes asking about them too.

I love this story! That's smart because I'd love to give my (future, hypothetical) daughter a vibe to help her figure herself out, but she'd probably be embarrassed if it came from her mom. So if she figures it out on her own...

Naw, I'm pretty open. Actually my mom came to visit for a few days this past weekend and I gave her one of the eggs that I got for free. Eggs aren't my thing, so I figured it needed a new home other than in it's box under my bed, lol.

The only time my parents and I talk about sex is when I tease my mother to get her riled up (I know, I know..very mature of me.) But it's fun--she's very prudish (even though she makes sexual innuendos herself at the family business.) She thinks it's a big deal that I am/have been sexually active--I'm 24! Anyway, no, I would never discuss sex toys with either of my parents in any serious fashion-they'd get very upset. Which is ok I guess-not that I want to discuss that with them-but I do wish they were a little more open. Oh well.

If I ever had to talk about the topic with my parents, oh mmmyyyyyy...!!!

On the other hand, my Master has two kids, am just a little older than they are though, but both with His daughter and son I could get through my initial stomach squeeze quite easy and discuss such topics in and out...

no this wouldnt bother me, im very open to my mom and she knows i have the account cuz i have talked to her about it. now she would never have an account on here. tht is just not her thing. but i hope when my daughter becomes of age she will be honest and open with me and not be too shy to say things....and i dnt think i would ever be embarrassed if she ever came up to me talking away bout sex toys!

I think it would be weird at first. I don’t think my mom knows I even use sex toys. But I’d love to show her which toys are awesome and materials best to use. I don’t think my mother has or uses toys or anything like that. I know they used to but they were thrown out. I think it would be cool, even with my sisters or sister in-laws. But since I’m the youngest everyone tends to treat me more virginal, haha. I think they would find it awkward so I’ve never brought it up to them. Maybe I’ll have the balls to tell them one day :/

I don't really talk to my mom about stuff like that and we live 1500 miles away from each other too. She knows about this site and I got her to look at some lingerie here too but I wouldn't want to know what toys she uses and yuck! If I did talk to my daughter about it, she would have to be way older than she is now, but my husband would shoot me!

My mom and me are very open about things so I would be ok with it. I would much rather be open about different toys then I would different sex partners. My daughter is only 4 but I hope she becomes interested into toys before she does boys.
