I went with other. I've done a striptease or two for my SO, but it's always been for comedic purposes only (intentionally so, thank goodness, hahaha!)
stripping?

Oh, I've considered it, because the pay is so tempting. Thing is, I'm really insecure about dancing. It's practically a phobia, and I don't know why. When I'm alone and dancing for a work out, I have fun, and I occasionally do Zumba. But at a club, I feel so awkward and stiff. I have to have a few drinks before I just let loose and do a modest "twist." It's something that I really want to get over, because dancing is fun, and dancing for my guy would be fun, too. I used to be painfully shy and still do suffer from social anxiety, which I'm medicated for. It's not as bad as it used to be, and I can talk in front of a group of people, interact with all kind of people (I work with the public, after all), but I still struggle with letting loose and doing things where I might embarrass myself. Probably why I love role playing in the bedroom, and wild, kinky sex--it's the only place so far where I feel "safe" letting go, and even then, it has only fully come to fruition with my current partner.
I fantasize about stripping, not because I'm even turned on by it, but it would be so empowering and liberating to be able to do it for me. Maybe one day...

I have never stripped I have done lap dances for an ex of mine. To be honest if I was tiny enough and not fat I would train to be a stripper. I see nothing wrong with paying your bills and taking care of you family by dancing. I don't find it degrading to a single man or even someone who is in a relationship to go to a strip club. If the married man's wife knows who cares, I know a few girls who strip to take care of their kids because they can't make it on minimum wage. Just because you or anyone else doesn't agree with what other's are doing with their life or bodies doesn't mean you can talk down to them. If you try degrading or being rude to someone who is trying their best to support their family, pay their bills or get through college then you are not the better person. To each their own and like many have stated yes we are all entitled to our own opinions but when you are being downright rude or hateful about it then that is where you draw the line! I support all mom's and women/men in general who are shaking their money makers to make ends meet.

Agreed. I don't see why people have such animosity towards strippers, other than social conditioning that tells us it's shameful...that, and jealousy of people who are comfortable enough with their bodies and sexuality. It's entertainment, it hurts no one, and there's no reason to disrespect someone for doing something like this to make a living. It's not drug dealing or profiting off a life of crime--it's provocative dancing. Why is that bad?

I hate the stereotypes people attribute to strippers, too. You know, they're all victims of abuse, they're all whores, they're all drug addicts, etc. I've known strippers who are perfectly stable and happy, and I've known a LOT of disturbed people with checkered pasts from my minimum wage retail and food industry jobs.
People are people and they deserve to be treated with humanity and dignity. You never know where someone has been, and had you been dealt even a slightly different hand in life, perhaps you would be in the very shoes of those people that you judge and feel so superior to.

It can be a LOT of fun, especially if you tell your partner the moment he takes his hands off the chair (for example) you will stop.

Never have

I am much too self conscious to strip, maybe I'll learn though

I think I would just feel silly if I tried it.

Only for my guy....

on the subject of stripping in private with/for a partner...I am 100% sure it would just devolve into a giggle fit for the both of us!! I feel so unsexy usually and he is really not moved by sexy displays (match made in heaven, right?)
I am, however, jealous of you hotties who can!!!

I've never stripped, never been to a strip club. All I know of them is from movies. With that being said, I would totally LOVE to learn how to pole dance. It looks really fun. And honestly, I'd only be doing it for me. Not for my partner (I mean, he can watch after I've gotten good at it... but his satisfaction is not my primary goal for wanting to take it up); and not for employment. Just for the satisfaction that I'd be able to hang myself upside down by squeezing my legs around the pole (amongst many other neat things). That takes physical effort, dammit! Hopefully, I can make this happen someday.

I was a dancer for a few years before I had my kid. No I didn't sleep with the customers; yes I know who her dad is. I wanted to find out what the big deal was, what type of girls danced with nothing on but a g-string and I found out. Some are just trying to support their families; some are single moms doing the same thing. A lot can make more money that what minimum wage pays, it pays their way through school. It's nothing but a job in the entertainment industries.

I've stripped for my wife before, and she has done the same for me. I don't think either of us could handle stripping for others, but occasionally it's a lot of fun.

Only for my partner

I've stripped for the hubby before and he LOVES it! I did try it in a public setting years ago when I was in college but that was a little awkward lol.
09/07/2012
I think I would feel funny doing it initially but after a while I would not care
09/07/2012
I think I'd consider it if my partner asked, or make him strip too.
09/07/2012
Unless I looked like Magic Mike, I wouldn't consider it.

I have stripped at home for my husband because he loves it. no matter how silly I felt or how uncoordinated I was he still loved it. He took me to a couple of strip clubs so I could learn some tips and techniques. It was so much fun. I say more power to you if that is your line of work. It was empowering!
09/07/2012
never done it

I never have striped. I don't think I have the body size most men would want to pay to see.
If there was a specialty BBW strip club, I would not mind trying out for a position.

I gave my best friend a lap dance for her 21st birthday does that count?

When I was in college, I considered it. My roommate's girlfriend was a stripper. Not something I would consider now.
