So I was hoping you all could offer me some options for stress relief while this COVID-19 threat was still causing daily life to not return to 'normal'. My job and school stuff cause me stress constantly and I can't always use sex to relieve that built up stress. Are there any other methods of lowering stress levels that you guys use that doesn't involve sex or masturbation? Anything that you can offer would be greatly appreciated!! Because at times I feel like: Thanks!!

I always use working out as a stress reliever too. I'm pretty sure working out does something with your endorphins, maybe produces them? I just know it helps me!

Working out. I dread it but feels great afterwards. Wine. And I dont know where your located but getting outdoors for a walk or hike. Even the drive to get there and just getting in a car makes me feel a bit normal.

Yeah, I'm like you. I don't like to exercise but I will. I also tend to avoid outside due to allergies but I will also do that and just take a double dose of allergy meds. I think I may need some more sunshine. I think driving around and getting away from the house is a good idea. I can drive to a local park or something. Thanks for your suggestions!!!

Absorbing sun rays is always good to improve ones mood. Not only warms the body, but the soul. Put on your tank top, shorts and grab your man and go catch some rays

Working out is not always a good stress reliever, IMO, especially if you don't like it.
Sun rays, fresh air, having a walk - wonderful things, and they are able to improve the mood significantly! For me, staying all day inside is pretty challenging, and if I don't see the outer world, I always feel like , , , at the end of the day.
Unfortunately, allergy is not the best companion for walking.
My advice for taking down the stress level is do what you love. If your passion is cooking - cook some delicious meal, if you're fond of movies - watch movies, if you're keen on sewing - make a fancy outfit.
Also, the great way to get mind off unpleasant things is to start learning something new, interesting and exciting. With the numerous online courses, lessons, master-classes to gain new knowledge is not hard.
Good luck!

You're right--I do love movies. And I know there are plenty of things on the internet to take up as a 'hobby'. I just have to carve out some time for it. I stay so busy with the stuff I have to do that aren't fun--which is part of the reason I'm so stressed. Thank you for the great suggestions!!

I do the online equivalent of window shopping. I go to sites and don't register, fill my cart and let it sit for a couple of days, then i go back through the order and what i still want to keep after that i sign in and purchase.
My husband just bought a drum set so I'm learning those and I'm learning to play the kalimba. Planting and tending flowers or vegetables really relieves my stress. But my number one stress relievers are reading a good book, fishing and walking.
Good luck everyone stay safe.

I have been doing a lot of personal writing, working on my blog, and I picked up reading again. Thankfully, I live in an area with a lot of trails for hiking and I've been going hiking a lot.
Sadly, when everything winds down at night and I don't have anything keeping me busy, my anxiety rears its ugly head. I spend hours trying to go to sleep thinking about my kids, my friends, how long it's going to be until the world is normal again.

I love shopping! I need that stimulus money though. I love flowers too but not all of them like me. Some do ok with me taking care of them but some don't. My husband has the 'green' thumb I guess.

I would really like to get to a point one day when I enjoy reading and writing again. But honestly, it's going to be a while until I get there. Right now I just have to find something to do that doesn't utilize my brain. And I can relate. When everything slows down, my brain doesn't and I can't sleep.

Shopping is a great way for lifting up spirits. Initially, I planned to spend less money because it is unknown when quarantine will end and what is waiting for us. But today I gave up and bought a lot of different stuff just to improve my mood. And it helped a LOT!

By the way, playing board games can be really fun! There are a plethora of them, and you can choose anything you like. Speaking of that, you can find many love games on Eden and not only have wonderful entertainment but also get them for a free review!

I realized that accepting this situation with quarantine as normal is quite helpful for me. I try not to think about when it ends, what I will do when everything is over, what is waiting for us, but strive to focus on today's life, find positives side of lockdown, and enjoy life as much as possible in these circumstances.

I go for a motorcycle ride. I social distance from my family and the rest of the world. This relieves the stress for me and my family. They claim I am driving them crazy. I am sure that I am not the problem. I try to get my wife to ride with me, but I just can't convince her to ride with me. Maybe she just enjoys having me gone. Not much help in giving you suggestions, sorry. Maybe get someone in your family to give you a back/shoulder/neck rub.
