Lol! I don't think my Mom would know, but then again, she watched that week long sex special on Oprah...

In my target ad today there is a chest with nine square drawers. I'm lusting after it. AND it matches my current furniture.
Can you imagine? Drawer 1= dildos. Drawer 2= Vibrators, etc.

My wonderful hubby does wood-working and makes furniture etc. as a hobby. He's built us a lovely wood toy box that's lockable, lined with velour, and has compartments to keep our toys from contacting each other. The best part is it's thin enough to slide under our bed for quick and easy access!

Gasp! I'm in too! It would have to be very large though....and probably on wheels because it would be very heavy when I put all of my toys inside! =P

That is so great that he was able to make something like that for you though! My mom would pass out if she walked into our bedroom right now! =P

I keep mine in a shoebox under my bed. Rather boring, and happily it won't work for much longer, since the collection just keeps growing.

I use this (link) chest of drawers from IKEA (which I got on sale for about $50 CAD), and the drawers are organized into various compartments by these (link) little fabric divider thingies, also from IKEA. My kinky gear is contained in cheap toolboxes and such from my local dollar store - I have my sensations toolbox, my needle tacklebox...etc etc.

It would be very easy to attach locks to these drawers to prevent prying eyes, if such a thing is a concern.

I also keep a small collection of my favorite vibes in a little hovel I have between my side of the bed and the wall - there's an extension cord that I keep there with all my rechargeable plugins and my hitachi is permanently plugged in there as well.

My husband and I opt to keep a small collection of lubes stashed on our headboard, totally in plain sight, I'm not to worried about hiding them in anyone comes over and is in my bedroom for some reason. A couple SHOULD be having sex We don't have kids, mind you.

From the sounds of things on this thread, one could probably make a nice little business selling pieces of furniture designed for sex toy storage. I've always had this fantasy of having something like a closeable gun rack over my bed to hang my spanking toys and such

And yes, I have a major organization fetish.

OMG that site is FUNNY. I love the dildo spice rack. Not sure how practical that would be, but holy hell it's making me laugh!

So, since I'm looking for some locking storage: which FYN case would you guys recommend? I was thinking about the Rolling Toy Trunk, but it's too much money and it's hard to hide. Now I'm wondering if I should go for an adult toy chest, or several big foots like Epiphora did...I'd just be worried about my ropes and tethers getting tangled.

Review the Rolling Toy Trunk for someone. Send Vera at FYN an email and see if she'll send it to you for free or at a reduced price. It's really nice and is perfect for the huge toy collection that so many reviewers end up owning after a while.

Call me kooky, but it wouldn't feel right to me for me to request such an expensive item, especially with the economy the way it is. Besides, I'm not exactly at the top of the blogger food chain.

I'm just worried that the rolling toy trunk would be hard to hide or explain to my mother. =X

For now, my toys and lingerie have taken over a drawer in my dresser. When I go home on breaks, they all get bundled into my locking trunk. The best part of using the trunk at home is, my parents never question it, because they bought it for me. Originally it was so I had a locking and hard-to-steal place to store things like electronics, books, and documents like bank statements while I was at school. It's hard to organize the inside, though, since it's one big space. I have a FYN foot long and a Devine Carry-On, plus a satin bag I sewed up, for organizing toys inside the drawer/trunk, but they are long since overflowed. Individual toys either go in plastic bags, original packaging, or cloth bags.

I desperately need to reorganize and find better ways to store my toys, so I'm going to steal some ideas from this thread.

I can't wait till I'm living on my own and can steal Red's idea of a whole chest of drawers for toys. Some day!

Reorganization complete! Red's idea of the Ikea drawer organizers was perfect; I had some lying around that I wasn't using, so they got commandeered.

I just got one of these: Tunti Case I really like it, but it was a bit smaller than expected. I think she is planning some different sizes for the future. It's actually a really good size for a vacation maybe, and it come with keys to lock and it has a little light for the inside so you don't fumble in the dark. The dividers are also removable. Here's a picture to give you an idea of what fits there. What Fits in my Tunti. It's a great first case for me.

Hum, that's definitely too small for my needs. =( That is a great case, though! And I see you're also a Lelo fan.

Yea, I figured it might be too small for you, but thought it might be nice for favorites or a week long trip or something. It's very unassuming. And yes, very much a Lelo fan. Still getting the hang of some of them. All I've ever had is rabbit style before.

Maybe something at Target Bamboo drawers? The small dresser route and installing locks yourself like Red suggested might be easiest. I would think you could find someone to do it for you at a store as well. Espresso Nightstand or this Locking Gun Storage and put the drawer organizers on them. Or something like this: Plano Tackle box

Hey I saw you have a "trash" section in your drawer. I can't remember if it's on here or somewhere else where I saw it, but there are some sex toy recycling programs out there if you'd like to get rid of your toys and get rewarded for it (and not have to deal with the problems of "regular trash" disposal).

Backseat,

The Tackle Box is a GREAT idea ! haha.

My girlfriend and I are college students as well, and we have 2 other roommates who are also a couple... We have to hide our toys carefully.

I invested in a standing gun-safe to store my firearms safely, and suddenly my firearms are accompanied with a box of my girlfriends toys. haha.

We actually went to the extreme and are in the process of building a headboard for our bed accomodate our toys. It's similar to a waterbed headboard, divided into three sections, but it's got a drawer and two shelves on of each side. The shelved areas will be hidden behind doors, and on the back "wall" of Alan's side we've put wooden pegs to hang cock rings on. The center part is open (gonna put a mirror there), with a little newel post "corral" at the bottom to hold lubes and lotions.

Currently, my toys are all shoved in a drawer in my boyfriends dresser... I fear it'll be overflowing soon!

That *is* a neat design! It doesn't really cost very much to make something like that, ours rang up at around $90 total after we bought the wood gloss and such.

LOL! We had the same problem with toys in the dresser drawers. When I realized that we were actually starting to put clothes on top of the dresser, I knew we needed to do something else with the toys!

What about some sort of tool chest/ cabinets like those made by craftsman or other tool companies. I know that most people associate them with the garage but they are heavy duty, metal, built for organizing oddly shaped tools and most have locks. My collection is still pretty small so I use a backpack but I plan on getting a tool chest down the road for this purpose.

I love all the ideas here. I'm going to throw out the idea of boxes designed for craft supplies. For awhile, I could fit all my toys in a plastic storage box designed for scrapbooking supplies. I bought it at Target, and, sadly, I can't find the exact product on the website anymore. Many craft storage boxes are not unlike toolboxes in design, but they tend to come in a rainbow of pretty colors not offered in toolboxes, which I think is pretty awesome.

Recently, I bought this storage ottoman to contain my plethora of sex toys. It doesn't lock, but so far I still have enough room to throw some sheets or towels over the toys. This makes the contents look like a dreadfully boring linen storage area.

Awesomely, my original craft storage case fits perfectly inside the ottoman to organize smaller toys, and there is still plenty of room for larger toys outside of the craft box.

Ok, this isn't the greatest picture, and we're not done with the project (mainly the doors aren't on yet), but it gives you the idea anyway:

link

We found an etched mirror for like $8 at a thrift store that will fit in that center part (where you see the maroon color).
We left the shelf sections un-stained inside, because I wasn't sure about having toys in contact with varnish, but it won't matter because we're building a set of decorative doors that will hide all of that anyway.
Oh, and the lightwood strips you see on the drawer fronts is actually the inside of the drawers--- those are just notches we cut to be able to pull them out instead of having knobs to bump into, so you're seeing through the holes. The insides of the drawers will be lined with maroon velvet when we're finished.

Very informative thread! I use a bureau drawer for for most of my toys, covered by sweat shirts, 'though my Sinflut stands sentry on my nightstand in its charger along with my Maximus lube.
I do keep all my toys in zip lock bags but in looking over some of the pics, I see most girls are just storing toys together. My issue, in addition to cleanliness has been the collection of lint on all but stainless steel and glass toys. I want to be able to see my toys easily.
I have tried a toolbox, with zip locks, but too tall for under my bed and with the zip locks, not that much room.
Anyone have the secret for the lint issue?
