I voted both because our local store is extremely limited. Where it's always nice to walk in and check things out, see if they have any new stuff and buy gag gifts (cuz I never know what gag to get til I'm staring at it) I like the privacy and availability of larger inventories online.

I have been in three sex stores, and only one of them was nice (but way overpriced.) I definitely prefer buying products online, for getting to read reviews, product information, and getting to get exactly what I want.

I only buy online. I want to get my money's worth and you can't always do that in stores. Online you can research the products and read countless reviews on the items before buying them. Not to mention that with my favorite coupon site I always get at least 20% off of my purchase wherever I shop from. I prefer buying lingerie in stores though. the few times that I have bought online I've almost always ended up somehow getting something a tad bit to big or to small. I'd rather try something on before buying it.

I much prefer online stores. They have a better selection. You can find anything online! Plus, it's private and convenient [get it delivered right to your door!] AND online stores usually have better prices.

I've bought stuff at a brick and mortar store, but I felt like I was being watched.

I like being able to see things in person before buying them, but I end up buying online about half the time. For one thing, you can usually get better deals online. And also, I have to drive 40 minutes to get to a store with a decent selection, as the stores closer to me only sell crap.

Online store, like EF, has such a large knowledge base, I mean when you walk into a sex store, there's no telling how something will perform or work with all to really base anything off of is the store employee and the packaging. Here lies a huge mass of information so one will actually know how the product will perform. Sure, you can't look at it in person, but I think the review and user base makes online purchasing by far and none the way to go!

I prefer online. There is a larger selection and better quality products. I also like being able to read reviews before I purchase a toy. I especially like buying from Eden because of all the information on safety as well. Discretion is also always an important factor.

I buy online because:

It's generally cheaper, even with shipping accounted for.
I get to sit at my computer and read reviews, comparison shop, and see who has the best deal.
There's a much wider selection.
The toys are usually way better quality.
I don't have to deal with the people who work there (though the sex shop at the town I used to live in had one girl who I went to high school with at the register--she was actually really cool! XD)

Most of all, though, the town I live in at the moment is utterly devoid of a sex toy store. Even a bad one.

online is best. you can take your time and "window" shop, read the reviews, and make sure you get just what you want.

I really don't like shopping online, because it makes me nervous, much more so than any embarrassment from going into a physical store. Why? Mailing lists.

Eden Fantasys has been very good about not sending me junk email catalogs or putting me on mailing lists that send stuff to my home. However, I have had that experience with a lot of other places. There is nothing worse than your neighbors seeing a colorful catalog sitting by your mail slot. This seems to happen with at least half of the places I have mail-ordered from, and I have no idea why they think this helps their business (obviously it must, or they wouldn't do it.)

Anyway, so I do order online now only at specific retailers, but I often will pay a little more to buy in a physical store, just knowing that 1) I can pay cash, so it's not traceable and 2) I have zero worries about them sending me junk mail.

By the way, the apartment I rent now had a previous tenant who got on a mailing list. I don't know him, but now I have his name permanently associated with gay porn videos because that's what kind of catalogs keep ending up in my mailbox.

I like both. Although I can understand why a lot of people say that they like online, judging from some of the skeevy sex shops I've been in. There's a very nice woman-owned sexuality boutique 10 minutes away from me and I love going there. I like being able to see what I'm buying before I commit. It's particularly nice if I'm worried about the size of something or whatnot.

I prefer to buy online, because it is MUCH easier (especially on sites like Eden ) to know what you are getting. Eden and other sites list all of the specs of each toy from an unbiased perspective; if you're looking at toy packaging in a store, you're very likely to be misinformed since manufacturers can get away with deceptive advertising (TPR silicone being labeled as just "silicone", etc.). Plus, I don't have thousands of reviews at my fingertips when I browse in a sex shop, either.

By and large, I'll be buying from EF, but there's just something about taking my wife to Spartacus (who also has products available on this web site) and buying something to use that night.

Online, I would have to drive to a larger city to go to a B&M store so it just hasn't happened yet.

I picked mainly online because I usually do buy online but I have no problem going into a actual toy store, it's just hard to find ones without creepy guys behind the counter peering at you hehe

I prefer getting my toys here at Eden. As others have said the prices are better and I always, always, always appreciate all the reviews. They have been extremely helpful to me, and you can't get reviews in a real store!
