Would you use your non-novelty item after having used it on yourself?

Okay, so... Before the world of safe sex toys, I had a few different things I would use to masturbate (mainly externally).

One of those items was an electric toothbrush.
I never used it in my mouth before using it externally for masturbation. My question is, would you ever use that non-novelty item again now that you have used it as a sex toy?

Never, it seems unsanitary.

Sure, just give that toothbrush a dunk in some rubbing alcohol and it's fine!

Well, that depends.... (Explain in a comment.)

Probably not. Something like a toothbrush, definitely not.

Haha. This strikes me as a no-no. I'd really like to hear some people from the third option

I've actually done the exact same thing. But I washed the utilized part after so I just used it again the next day. It's actually kinda funny to me whenever someone asks if they can borrow a toothbrush now

I found the toothbrush in the bottom drawer and it sparked this curiosity in me

I mean, technically, your mouth is dirtier than your labia! Right? I wouldn't recycle a toothbrush into a sextoy for that reason... but then, they can be sterilized I think?

I was just curious as to what other people think!

I think it would depend on the item. A tooth brush no, but maybe something that wasn't hygiene related.

I agree. It would depend on the item - and it would depend exactly where and how you used it.

I have only used sex toys. I don't plan on using anything other than a sex toy for my body.

I wouldn't use an electric toothbrush unless I put it in a condom or sleeve.

You have oral sex, I don't see the difference.

I never used anything other than one try with a shower massage as a sex toy, but if I had, it wouldn't bother me to use it for its original purpose again.

As long as it isn't going to be ass to mouth I don't have a problem using a non-sex toy for it's intended purpose. I simply don't like the idea of tasting my asshole...again it's a personal choice. Pussy to mouth doesn't bother me at all.

I can see using the handle of a toothbrush as a vibe and then using it normally, since the bristles would probably still be fine (well, I actually hate electric toothbrushes, but that's besides the point). It all depends on what you use, how you use it, and how well it can be cleaned. Personally, though, I don't like to use non-toys at all. I just can't get in the mood for a spatula, you know?
