When I first started getting toys I got the idea to keep them in their original packaging. Since some of my first toys were Evolved brand they usually came in velvet-lined tin boxes made for continued use. But now I'm wondering what to do with products that just come in stiff plastic casing that's meant to be discarded after it's opened? Does reusing those harbor germs somehow? Is it better to just leave the toys unprotected in a closed drawer? I'd like to start better storage habits now that I have more toys in undesirable packaging. How do you store your toys?

I have a really nice wooden box with a lid, for toys & lubes. It's lined with cloth that can be taken out and washed. Then I have another box with small things in it (makes it easier to find things)also lined with cloth that can be washed. I wash my toys before and after.

I only keep the original packaging for toys I don't like that I might give away. Or when the box is too nice to throw away. Even then the box is in the back of a closet. I keep my toys as consolidated as possible either in one of many boxes under my bed or in a backpack, where I can store many dildos together upright. They actually fit in the backpack quite nicely and no one suspects what's inside it.

My toys are mostly out in the open, stewn about the house in various places. (My husband and me live alone). I only keep the box when a toy comes with a really nice box (Like my g-ki, for example). Most of my glass toys come with a padded pouch, and most everything else doesn't have a pouch or bag.

I just got my Devine Toychest, so I'm keeping most of my toys in that from now on. I love it so far!
Before that, I kept most of my toys/lube in a couple of small FYN cases, and whatever didn't fit in those just got thrown into my underwear/sock drawer.

Some toys are in their original packaging, some are in a bigger box, others are in storage bags and there are also some in my dresser drawer. They are every where lol!

I keep all of my toys in individual Ziploc bags (except for my Fleshlight) inside a small, locked container.

Depends on the toy... sometimes put away nicely... sometimes tossed aside until the next use but no special box or anything yet.

Glass toys go in pouches, silicone and soft material toys go in Ziploc bags. I'm not sure how I will store my steel/aluminum/other metal toys, since I only have one. I think I will keep the packaging (nJoy packaging is GREAT!) but put the toys themselves in something else.
All toys go into this hollow ottoman thing that I have at the end of my bed. I'm running out of room, so, might have to get another one or find some other place for storage.

My toys are mostly in their original packages if they are nice enough or in some kind of pouch but all together in a canvas tote stored on the highest shelf in the closet. Except the Form 2 and Form 6 which are plugged in on the night stand.

Right now I have them all in a linen bag. I have most of them in their original packaging in the bag, but I'm going to have to find another option soon.

As of right now, I am looking for a way to store the collection that we are gathering. I am a bit freakish (I think) I have to have each toy seperate from each other, so they either get put in ziplock bags or back in the original packaging.
I would love to find a way to store them so that I don't feel so obssesive about it.

I keep them out of sight, mostly in my closet.

I found a great second-hand wooden box that I keep by my bed...the only problem is that it's pretty small and I'm running out of space! I'll probably start a drawer for toys I use less often.
I also keep every toy in an individual bag. If it doesn't come with one I sew one out of cotton (cotton is great because it doesn't trap moisture!).

in a little blue bag..might invest in a storage bin sometime soon, though..

In a large mechanics tool chest, purchased specifically for toy storage. Everything is nicely organized due to the many different sized drawers...and it locks! It has proven to be the perfect set-up for our current needs.
02/12/2011
In the drawer next to the bed, or in the safe away from the kids. We try to keep out only the ones we will use, or get alot of use.
02/13/2011
I keep a lot of mine in their original packaging and a few in velvet bags. everything goes in a box under the bed. We had them in a tool chest, but when we moved the tool chest had to go into storage.
What I really want for them is a nice wardrobe with double doors that I can modify a bit. Some hooks on the doors for our crops. A couple of baskets and shelves near the bottom for our vibes. A nice lock on the front. *sigh* im working on it...some day

I keep mine in the original packaging because the packaging looks cute and I don't think I could dump cute items that comes with it.
02/14/2011
I keep mine in a box under my bed. I haven't had a problem with dust or anything, but the toys that came in nice packaging are in there inside them. The cheap plastic packaging, I just threw away because I didn't see any use for it.

I'm surprised how many people keep their toys in the closet or under the bed. I know I am too impatient for that... I keep everything in a drawer I can reach from my bed without setting foot on the floor! I guess that's one of the luxuries of having no kids/a lot of privacy.
I'm really excited about the Crochet Toy Pouch Workshop on Eden tube! I think I'll start making bags to keep my toys in if it's simple enough. That's a really good solution and cheaper than buying a ton of bags.

As of now, I have a cheap makeup case/bag that I bought at, of all places, Claires. Its starting to get a mite crowded D:

We built a headboard/cabinet system last year that holds a lot of ours, but we also have some in a drawer and a few (glass that we don't use) on display. The ones that aren't on display we keep either in their original boxes or Ziploc bags.
02/16/2011
Mine are practically out on display since I bought my glass display cabinet.
02/16/2011
All of the above. Depends on the toy.
02/16/2011
depending on the toy they are in ziploc, original packaging or little satin drawstring bags I buy and they all go in my bedside drawer
02/16/2011
I used to keep them in a bureau drawer covered (hidden) by sweat shirts. Now they are mostly under the bed in one of those multiple shoe storage containers that have a plastic "see through" covering. Each toy is in a compartment in its own Ziploc bag.
Some toys are on my nightstand being charged or just to be available. My b/f's masturbation sleeves are on the bathroom window sill.
My harnesses are in the closet on skirt hangers.

We recently purchased a cedar chest, which has become our toy chest! The best part? IT LOCKS!! It is absolutely perfect. We can store everything in it: movies, toys, magazines, a Throe and there is still LOTS of room for more. There is plenty of room for us to keep our toys in their storage containers like our NJoy boxes, etc.
02/16/2011
I probably should have chosen other. My toys are stored in a plethora of ways. Some are in a Toibocks. Some are in a FYN flogger bag. And some are in a drawer in our dresser.
