What was it that made you realize it was nothing but an expensive mistake?
Have you ever bought a really expensive adult toy, only to quickly suffer "toy regret"?

Hasn't happened yet. I do a lot of research before I order an expensive toy -- that's why I love my Eleven!

When the wife and I were first wanting to explore pegging, we purchased a fairly expensive strapless dildo. It was silcone but it was so hard that neither of us got anything out of it pleasure wise. We still have it but it hasn’t been used in a long time. - C

about 10 years ago we bought a sybian for about $1400. i had a 30 day money back trial. it was good but not $1400 good. we sent it back and got most our money back. we've also got 2 eroscillators and a pure wand. those were expensive but money well spent.

Once. It had no moving parts, it was just really expensive and I just hated everything about it. It was too this and too that and I was really pissed the day I tossed it out. $109 down the drain.

Yes, I've definitely gotten caught up in hype and enthusiasm and bought some really expensive toys that just ended up not working that great for me. I've only had a couple that I really hated, but I've had several that were just sort of "meh".

YES, I bought the We Vibe 2! It was one of the first toys were purchased and did it while on vacation. It was not cheap and in general neither of us really like it. It feels good when using it, but neither of us orgasm when using it is in. The We Vibe is very powerful, but it blocks my wife's g-spot stimulation and it changes the feeling for me inside my wife's vagina. It might work for some people, especially for the woman who like clitoral stimulation, but for us it was a complete bust! It hasn't been charged in over 2 years.

I bought a wireless vibe panty set. When I first tried it I thought this is so weak. I was going to return and procrastinated past the return time. Gave it another go and now love it.

Nope. Luckily my most expensive, my Soraya, I didn't have to pay for.

The first time I ordered my Pure Wand, I called and cancelled the order the next morning! I thought I really shouldn't spend over 100 dollars on one sex toy.
Then I was like "noooo, I DO want it". So I ordered it again like a week later.
No regrets once I got it though

Yes, it was quite expensive at the time, about $70 as I recall, (not that bad now days, sadly). My wife just didn't like it, and we tried it several times. I actually gave it away to my sister-in-law, after cleaning, of course! (I know, weird right?) I don't know if she likes it or not, but she hasn't returned it for a refund!

all the super expensive metal and glass toys.

I wont buy a toy unless I know it will be great

Ha, was it a Feeldoe? I got one a really long time ago and it pretty much never got used. You pretty much need to use a harness with it.

Toy regret is such a tragic phenomenon!

There have been a few over the years

One of my first expensive toys was the Form 3 by Jimmy Jane. I got it as a thank you from EF for writing 200 reviews. I was so excited but in the end it doesn't work as well for my body as some vastly less expensive toys I own. It was a valuable lesson and I learned how to buy for myself and what works and doesn't work. Something can cost well over a hundred dollars but if it doesn't suit your body it's just an expensive paper weight!

I'm starting to think it has happened to me, but I'm giving the toy a couple more chances. I'm rather new to all of this, so it might be just that I'm still in the learning curve.

Yes/no. If I buy an expensive toy I tend to find something to like out of it. Though I do still occasionally feel like I wasted my money a bit still.

I have two or three toys that are in a drawer that I purchased and used a couple of times one for anal it was to big then and is still to large for me, there is no way I'm putting that in my ass.

We have and I don't think we have learned our lesson yet. Doing research doesn't always work for us. Those reviews just seem so good and promising.

I've not bought many expensive toys yet, but so far I've been ok. I bought Jimmy Jane's Form 2 and I was worried it would be useless at first, and I don't always use it like it's intended (I turn it on its side a lot) but it works. I wasn't disappointed and didn't feel like I made a mistake, but it took me a long time to realize that it might actually be useful. Not necessarily worth all the money I spent on it, but very useful. Hopefully it'll continue to prove itself such.
