Yeah, never tried it. Not sure I would. o.O
Failed the Flame Test?
10/27/2011
I did it on a set of plugs I wasn't so sure of once, they passed.

I'm too scared too! Lol. But I've had like 4 Cal Exotic toys that were very CLEARLY not anything close to silicone. It's really nasty to call it silicone if it's not. It's misleading and lying and I don't buy from companies that do that, not after I've had it happen more than a few times. It's like duping your customers and if you're products aren't good enough to sell without lies then I certainly don't want them.

I haven't. Why would you want to risk ruining a toy?

I haven't tried the flame test, and would be hesitant to try it on a toy I liked. Now if I had a toy that I didn't care for at all, I'd be willing to try burning it for science purposes.
11/16/2011
I don't have the balls to do it.

I find the only reason to do this test is when I plan on sharing a toy with the wife. Since I use it anally and she will use it vaginally, I feel the test is justified but only if I am suspicious of the claimed material. I always do it outside by the fire pit so if it does catch on fire there is no worries. less

Never done it.

I've had a few fail the flame test. One I do remember was a supposedly silicone cock ring, but it wasn't.

Something to be noted also, this should ONLY be done with a match and lighter etc. burn too hot for the test to be completed accurately.

ummm, it's not silicone? I was going to get it for my girlfriend. She has the Mini Fairy. Now I have to reconsider... Eden listed it as silicone though with 10 safety rating.

The manufacturer didn't actually claim it was silicone, though, so I'm not sure if it really counts as failing... they did fail to claim it was any material in particular, though. less

I've never heard of it and thus never done it.

I have never heard of the flame test.

I only buy toys from reputable manufacturers that I know (from reviews) only use quality silicone for their toys. Therefore flame test is never necessary.
05/25/2013
I've never done it but I would be shocked if one of my toys failed bc of the quality brands I purchase from.

I was reading about a product yesterday that came with a small section of "touch and feel" silicone built into the packaging, and that would be perfect to flame test!

I haven't felt the need to test anything, yet, as I buy toys from reputable companies.
05/25/2013
I've never flame tested any of my products.
05/25/2013
good idea, would have never thought of that, but i think i'd be too afraid, or maybe disappointed more, if they failed
05/25/2013
Never did the flame test.
05/25/2013
I just did it, and all my toys passed But then of course, they were all Tantus, Doc Johnson, and Happy Valley, so I know they were going to be anyways
05/25/2013
Never thought to even try it, hopefully the nape tours do that when the toy is made.
