I am wondering if more and more parents are killing their sex lives because of having children in the house, or have you just learned to be quiet now?
Do you have sex with the kids in the house?

If I waited until my son was out of the house, I'd have sex once a month. Naturally, I've just learned to be more quiet. Luckily, he's a pretty hard sleeper so if I moan a little loud he's none the wiser. That might change when he gets older.

We're not quiet by a long shot, but I remember when the kids were born, we used to be noisy with everything and they learned to sleep - even if we were vacuuming in the same room. That's helped - if they're asleep, they're asleep and noise typically doesn't wake them. If we waited till they were not home, we'd be lucky to do it every 6 months

Can't vote on this because I don't have kids. But when my fiances parents are home there is no sex. We have to wait till they are gone or dead asleep upstairs.

We learned to be quieter, buy them a new game for their consoles or rent a ton of movies and let our kids have a special movie night in their rooms. If we would have waited 18 years for our kids to get out of the house, we would have lasted about 7 days and given the kids away, just joking, but seriously you adapt and then when they are gone you let loose.

We have sex regardless of who is in our home. It is our home afterall. We have never been quiet, but we are not screaming at the top of our lungs either.
Our son usually sleeps with his headphones and iPod on anyway, so it isn't really an issue.

Our pediatrician told us when we took our son home from the hospital, "Just because the baby is sleeping doesn't mean you need to tip-toe around him...otherwise he will startle at every noise and learn to be a light sleeper.
It takes an air horn to wake our son up sometimes.

We only have sex in the middle of the night, when my son's sleeping soundly.

When they're asleep or sometimes a quickie in the bathroom when they're awake.

lock the door

My parents shut the door, and I just put my noise-cancel headphones on. If I need to use my bathroom I bring my headphones with me. I'm not botherin' them, they're not botherin' me. I don't hear a thing with my headphones on.
Surely they're probably louder if I'm away for the night or a weekend....but I don't wanna know. LOL

I would say 90% of the time they are home, most of the time sleeping. We have had a few quickies here and there when they are awake. We just go down stairs and "Do some laundry". Since they hate to help with laundry we know they will not come down.

It's damn near impossible to keep me quiet, but we've already had the sex talk with our son.

I can't vote either. We usually don't even try when our little one is awake. But we aren't particularly quiet. When we have needed to be, we have been quiet.

OMG, if we waited till there were no kids in the house I may as well become a Nun! Shut the door, heck, go out on the deck....there are ways around there being kids in the house

I like to have sex in the middle of the day when the kids are at school
