Just wondering how many people actually even bother to go into a store anymore to buy sex toys when it's so easy to do it online.
Do You Ever Buy Toys In Stores?

I personally would never even think of going to a store. It's too convenient to shop from my computer!

The only physical stores in my area are Spencers and a couple of really sketchy/dirty places that I would never even think of buying from. I will be sticking with online purchases.

I work at a store and I can get things at cost. Why not, right? If I need something and don't feel like waiting for it from Eden, I'll get it from work. I don't buy toys here, though. I mostly get lubes and sensual love type products.

I have been in stores since I have been an EF follower but the only reason I will go in stores is for a crisis need for something like lube or massage oil. If I need it now, I will go get it in store. If it can wait then I'll order online.

I used to go to regular stores before I found Eden. Really no reason to now.

Oh, not to mention, my store carries a lot of things that Eden doesn't like 1" wide bondage collars and really nice flogging toys. Those are things I like to look at in person first.

maybe soon i can bring myself to actually shop at the stores instead of looking around !lol

I don't buy in store. I do sometimes like going in to look. I got my first rabbit from a sex store, that was before I found EF. I now only shop on EF.

I've looked at toys in stores, but they are so much more expensive. Besides, adult toy stores tend to be few and far between, but the internet is always at my fingertips.

I used to live in a quaint little northeast town where we had a friendly neighborhood female-owned sex shop. If I saw something online that I wanted, I could take it to the owner, and she would order it and not charge me shipping! It was awesome. Online shopping has come a long way in terms of what you can learn about a product before you buy, but nothing compares to being able to see it in person and hold it in your hands to figure out if this is the right toy for you.
Nowadays I live in the south, and all the sex shops close by stock mostly novelty items like edible underwear. So now I shop almost exclusively online because of the wide selection, great prices, and the reviews. Can't complain, but I do miss my friendly neighborhood sex shop.

I work at an adult novelty store. I don't get things at cost like Miss Debauchery, but I do get a decent discount. We're also not sketchy, we try to be very clean, professional, etc. Also, we will take items out of packages, let customer hold them, put batteries to show them how it works/what it does/how strong vibrations are, etc and we always check for defects before ringing up. If an item is defective but doesn't show it until they get it home, we do exchange items within the first week. So I think there are some advantages to shopping in-store, but only if it's stores like the one I work at.

We have TWO nice "adult toy store" chains in town. We were "Frequent Buyer Club" members at both. EF has "replaced them". Much as I like to "support local", the fact is, the evaluations, prices and overall service here, just cannot be matched in the stores.

Sounds lovely...like the one's here where we live. However the prices at STORES are just SO, SO much higher...EF cannot be beat.

I still pop into The Lion's Den, mostly for porn now though. Obviously, Eden has a better toy selection and less markup.

I'd say that 95% of the time, I shop online - mostly at Eden, but sometimes other sites, too. There's a nice store downtown called The Mood that I like to visit when I'm out with my friends, though. It's nice and clean, well-lit, and the staff are very friendly. It's got an awesome sex toy museum in the back half of the store, and they often have old black-and-white sex education vids playing on a projector. It's a lot of fun.
There's another one called Condom Kingdom a few blocks from The Mood, but they focus more on novelties (and the toy cleaners are all kept in a locked case, which is just kind of weird).

I've never been to a store.

I'd buy more from stores if Eden didn't have such awesome sales and points!

I don't like buying in stores. I've been in a few but I find buying online being much more satisfying.

It's so so, if I want to see something in person before I buy, I'll check at my local store, if not, I'll order it online.

It's the same here. I feel like I'd need a shower after going to some of those places...

i bought my 1st 3 toys in a store.

I haven't bought from a store in quite a few years. I don't plan to do it again anytime soon either.
09/13/2011
I chose "Other" as i've only ever purchased toys online but I'm not opposed to purchasing them in the store... there are just none around here where I live.

I've never gone into a physical store.

I often buy handcrafted BDSM items and wearables at the Folsom Street Fair and other kink events.
