You can, but if anyone really wants in there, it doesn't take much effort to pop the screw out and break in. If you really need security, try a Tunti, or a toolbox from the hardware store.

And as far as the Tunti goes, I tried to check them out but their site does not seem to have a price, nor purchase/ "add to cart" button. Do you think they went out of business?

You can, but the thing is flimsy, so if someone wants in, they can just rip the chest apart with sheer strength.
