shaving but sometimes i wax
What's the best way to be hairless?
03/15/2013
I would prefer to wax, but I hate doing it myself and it gets too expensive to get it done. I end up shaving. I just hate that the hair comes back so quickly.

I've wanted to try a salon wax but nervous because I'm a little bigger girl.

i've cut myself before / razor burn ... so i can't / don't want to shave ...
waxing terrifies me, i'm so not into pain
so i nair, once every two weeks is enough - i end up with like 3-4 days nice and smooth, then stubble that gets up to maybe 1/8" inch long by the end of 2 weeks
i have no problems with bikini nair (i'm italian and greek, thick, coarse hair and lots of it - i leave it on with no problems for twice the recommended time), however i used to have a roommate that used nair and only left it on for like 2 minutes and her skin literally bled.

I shave regularly. Too much of a cheapskate to go get waxed, and Nair makes my legs break out, so I'm terrified to imagine what it'd do to my pubic region!

Waxing, or laser would be the best, but shaving is the quickest & easiest

Is there any way to keep from getting red bumps? How the hell do porn stars do it?
03/22/2013
Do you get bumps when waxing too?
03/22/2013
I'll trim as needed, but I don't like going all hairless. Shaving usually gives me terrible red bumps. Nair is ok, but I don't really like having such harsh chemicals so close to my delicate parts, and it makes my skin feel like sandpaper afterwards. And I could never get waxed - I can't handle the pain.

Shaving. I've never tried anything else.

Shaving cream and a razor.

I actually started with tweezing around the edges when I was a teen. Much later, I learned that some salons were offering bikini and Brazilian waxing! My first Brazilian was quite painful, but I went to a different place the next time, and found someone who's really good at it, and funny as well. It somehow makes the pain more bearable when you're having a joke-filled conversation with the aesthetician. I've been going to her for years now--it helps that she gives me a loyalty discount--and it took a while, but I have very little hair growth now. I'll never be able to have the "natural look" in the front again, that's for sure!
Despite the moderate pain, I love getting waxed because I'm much smoother than I would be with just shaving, and the hair takes a lot longer to grow back. Also, when your waxing person rubs the anti-ingrowth azulene oil on afterward, it tingles nicely. It is well worth the few moments of pain and the expense, and I have a low pain threshold!

Shaving. Nair smells nasty and I wouldn't want there any where close to down there. To wax you have to let it grow out and I hate that too. Shaving all the way.

Shaving cream and a razor I imagine.

shaving

Electrolysis. Expensive and painful, but it is forever!

waxing gets it out by the root so it grows back slower

I shave because I'm cheap. I'm not scared of waxing but I just don't have time for it!

I epilate personally. Recently I have been shaving though since my epilator is quickly dying.

I've only shaved. I'm getting fed up with it though. I'm one of those girls who really can't stand hair down there. When it grows back it's like torture for me.
I've been looking into home waxing options as I'm a wee bit too shy to go have it done by a professional. Not that I could afford that anyway. But has anyone tried Surgi-wax? I would be using it everywhere though not just down there. I'm curious as the reviews on sites like Amazon seem to be good, but I was curious of what you all thought specifically for down there.

I haven't tried that particular one, but the waxes that you heat up in a little pot, spread onto your skin, press a paper/cloth onto it, then rip it off, work well. Even the ones that come already smeared onto a strip work fairly well. I suggest one of the sugar waxes, as they're much, much easier to wash off afterward.

Shave...love a little landing strip!

I've tried everything. The only thing I've tried that didn't damage my skin is using clippers.
05/11/2013
I rather shave and I don't use shaving cream, I just use water and the razor.

Waxing. 100%, shaving gives me ingrown hairs I do it when I have to but otherwise waxing is my go to, best method. Hands down.

I am pretty sure I commented in here a while back about being nervous about waxing... But update! I really like waxing with nads hair removal gel. This stuff is amazing. It hurts but not too bad and it lasts longer than shaving.

Shaving is fasted and easiest.
