Hey my Eden friends! I have scoured the forums to the exact answer to my question and just cannot find the answer I am looking for. So with that in mind:
I have recently read several articles on how some antibacterial soaps are actually too harsh to use when cleaning toys and what is good for hands, is not necessarily good for things that are going "down there" even if you do rinse them. These soaps can also cause materials to break down and cause micro-cracks. I actually have noticed this in a clit vibe and can surmise only that soap was the cause. As a result, I bought a toy cleaner.
However, I am dedicated to giving my toys the best care possible. I have sensitive skin as well, so toy cleaner seems to be working so far and I always clean before and after and rinse well.
So I have a few questions:
1) What kind of soap does everyone here like to use fr cleaning toys?
2) Idea from an article: baby soap as a toy cleaner because it is for sensitive skin. What does everyone think of that?
And that got me thinking about number 3: What about ph balanced vaginal wash as a soap to clean toys with? Unscented obviously. am I nuts or does this seem like it might actually work?
4) Is it possible to over-clean your toys?
I would also like to mention that as much as I would love to, boiling is not a possibility with any of my current toys.
Any input would be great you guys. i just want to take good care of my toys and myself.
