My partner and I are venturing into a bit of a role reversal when it comes to strap-on sex... until now, she has solely been the giver and I've been the receiver. However, she's recently expressed that she'd like to try receiving. This is a first for her - she has dealt with a lot of bottom dysphoria and has just begun getting past negative feelings about her anatomy. She and I are very excited for this new development! We've picked out a nice dildo that she feels comfortable with. Now I'M worried. What if I'm awful at moving my hips and I hurt her? I'm new to strap-ons. I had never worn one or even knew I had an interest in it until we had been dating for a while and I tried hers on for fun. Now that I'm going to be USING one, I'm afraid I'll be bad at it. Does anyone have any advice for me? Anything would be incredibly helpful. I want this to be a great experience for both of us.

You could try laying on your back and let her ride you 'cowgirl' style - that way she's in control of how deep/hard it goes and you get an idea of how rough she likes it. The firmness of the toy makes a difference too - start with something soft.

Practice! Walk around wearing it, practice thrusting in the air. Getting used to the weight and feel, how it sits on your hips, how the harness fits... All of this will help your confidence. Then, when the time comes for actually topping, go slow. Be sure to find a position that works well for you, you will find muscles you didn't know you had! I personally tire out faster kneeling than I do standing. Then just be very responsive to her, and keep communication steady. I hope that it works out for you, practice makes perfect!

I've noticed that a lot of girls don't know how to move their hips and thrust properly. Something that helped me was closely watching men in porn and their techniques.

For the most part porn is not the place to go for sex info. Another option is a "hands on" coaching session in thrusting with your partner. Watch what he does (have him masturbate but still use his hips), then you try and he gives feedback.

Start out slow and with something less hard and she should be ok...till she can give you verbal iformation about it.
