I don't know about 100 degrees, but I'm getting a glass dildo soon as well and am going to attempt heating it in warm water as well. I hope all goes well.,,

When I want warm, I lay it on a heating pad for a few minutes. Just be careful to test the temperature against your arm before putting it to use, warm glass is nice but hot glass, not so much.

Looks like the decision has been made, but I think around 110 is my ideal hot water temp.

Run it under water until it gets to whatever temp is desired, usually will get it warmer than needed as it will cool off.

As a newbie to glass toys I was hesitant in placing stress on the glass, even pyrex. Instead I use The Wicked Ultra Heat for warm/hot temperture play and The Wicked Ultra Chill for coo/cold temperature play. They're both intimate lubricates and you can start with as little or as much as you desire. I don't usually need much lubricant anyway with glass now with 2 sets of glass eggs and the Bent Graduate I enjoy the sensation of the temperature on the material without feeling I'm stressing the material.

Pyrex can take some stress. Stress can be minimized by gradual heating and cooling, so start with warm water and soak before adding hot water. But that should really only be a concern when abruptly changing to very high or low temperatures. Room temperature to the fridge or to 100 degree water should not be any concern at all. But, for example, I would be concerned about from the freezer to boiling water.

My general rule is to use the same temperature water I'd use for my bath or shower.

Make sure to test it on tender skin like the inside of your elbow before using it on your partner.

The old advice about baby bottles (testing the temperature on your inner arm first) is also useful here.

I've never checked the temperature of the water before. I just heat it gradually until it's the temperature I want it to be.

I run it under hot water. Soaking it in a glass of hot water might be more effective though so maybe I'll try that.

We have used a small electric heat pad, like you use for sore muscles.
