...only to realize they didn't like it, and it wasn't worth the money? Seems like it might be common. I kind of did, but only because of escalating quality. Not to mention that for first times, it's hard to judge size needs.

I did. I've done it a lot. That's why I became a reviewer. Now I can get it for free,and if I don't like it I'll let others know and give it away or sell it.
