I love seeing the Disney abominations retold in their origional glory, they once were true morality tales and cautionary as well. I have read some versions of Snow White that told the tale from her "evil" stepmother's viewpoint. I did like the way Mitzi's Red Riding Hood was told almost from the huntsmen's viewpoint.
I'd love to see Hansel and Gretel with the missing sexual element readded...in one version the Father (who is actually their step father) takes them into the woods to hide the fact that Gretel is pregnant. He builds the gingerbread house for her and the tale goes from there. less
