I voted "I don't like it", and I just wanted to elaborate. I definitely see the appeal of role-playing, but I honestly think it would be a little awkward. Dressing up in lingerie, or even a costume just for funzies is one thing (once wore a pasty and skirt/thong set that looked like Wonder Woman for my comic book nerd of a boyfriend), but actually acting it out would make me feel like I was on the spot. I suppose if someone had a fetish or fantasy about something specific that would be different.

This sounds like an awesome thing to do. Some people feel like to be sexy they have to step outside of themselves and play a character. If costumes are a big part of your role-playing, I recommend still dressing up, just in lingerie instead of a costume. And learn how to dress for your body type, accentuate the parts of you that you're proud of or that you know are his favorites, it will make you feel SO sexy wearing it in front of him. For example, I'm a very self-conscious person, but I know my honey loves my bum. So I try to dress up in things that show it off.

I like roleplay. I have never done the whole bit with costumes and all that but I have used different personas and had partners do the same which was pretty fun, and I would like to do more in the future.

I absolutely love the idea of role playing but I don't think I could put myself into the mindset of the character that I'm trying to play. I would like to attempt it one day because I feel like trying to roleplaying with my partner would be another way to show him that I trust him. I would show him that I'm not afraid to be silly and I can just make a fool of myself in front of him.

Its fun sometimes... there are limits. and it can be overdone, but just general stuff, it spices it up sometimes.

I've only done role-playing a few time, but when I have, it's been amazing! It might not be for everyone, but once you get into it, it's good.

We've tried student/prof a few times and a few attempts at other scenarios, although after a while the dialogue turned rather weird and we bursted out laughing. Most of our roleplaying seems to put me into a dominant position, which we've both been enjoying quite a lot. It was rather hard for me to adapt to rough play though, since I was used to 'being a gentleman' in bed before. It'll still take some practice, but roleplay has definately been exciting for us thus far.

One of the new things we have tried is going into a bar separately and act like strangers. We take turns each time of who is doing the "pick up" lines, its a lot of fun!
